12/02 Sunday
SBS 2705M [SL 066] off service on the way back to SLBP went up the kerb & crashed into a lamppost along Pioneer Rd North before the International Rd junction at around 1.30am. Front of the bus totally smashed...whole windscreen shattered to pieces, bumper under the bus. 2 private cars seen parked at the side of the road behind it & the 3 drivers were in the midst of discussion. -

A MK II WA (with full body ads) on SV32 was seen on tow at PIE (jalan toa payoh) towards jurong at 7pm.
SBS9828X (SV 56) broke down at bus stop outside toa payoh mrt (TP Lor 2) at 7pm also. Recovery vehicle park in front of bus. -

SBS9276M on Svc 88 broke down along Bishan St 22 at the bus stop outside Blk 257 in the direction towards Pasir Ris at around 9am. -
The MK II is SBS1730X with Ichiban LCD TV ad. I saw the recovery truck behind the bus at Bedok Int at around 4pm, but I don't know why it takes till 7pm to reach PIE. Maybe bus too heavy?Originally posted by lemon1974:13/02/2006

Spotted SBS9817C svc 31 broke down at simei ave (Opp Changi General Hosp) bus stop 2day (17Feb06) around 1pm.

SBS 1959D - 99
a motorcyclist collided at the back of the bus ... not sure who is in the wrong ,, but bus stopped in the middle of the road ( JurongWest ave 4 turning to west grove) motorcycle was lying flat on the road , lots of broken parts of the motorcycle were everywhere .. causing some difficulty for other buses to turn ..
BC & other passengers were waiting at the kerb , BC was talking to victim , Victim was injured .. didn't die .. -

Breakdown at Boon Lay Int at 11pm. Total blackout, bus cannot start. Recovery truck came at 11.45pm. -

SBS9677P on Svc 80 broke down along Upp Serangoon Rd outside Kovan Station in the direction towards Harbourfront due to air-con failure.
The problem first surfaced along Punggol Rd when the air-con stopped abruptly and there's a ringing sound. Bus captain stopped the bus opposite Hougang Central Int stop and knocked on something continuously (Presumably the air-con control) and managed to get it working after 5 minutes of repeated knockings.
However, the problem occured again a few stops later and the driver stopped at the Kovan Station stop and repeated the same trick. Although the air-con resumed with a gentle breeze (much less powerful than originally), the bus captain still declared a breakdown.

TIB574 seen on tow along SLE last night at 8.30 pm.
TIB1165 collided with a malaysian lorry at bus stop along woodland ave 3 at 8 am this morning. -

No. It's just that when the bus does a sharp turn, the water level went below the sensor on that side of the tank due to centripetal force. SBS9806J svc31A break down at Tampines Ave 5 Blk 147 bus stop this morning (24Feb06) b4 8am, causing big problems. Svc 31 demand so high yet tat freak SBS Transit nv do anything abt it.
