taken from another forum..
yesterday at about 6.15pm. farrer road outside smss. this girl in uniform was taking something from her friend when then bus, 186 came, she used her leg to flag the bus. but when the bus came nearer, she used her hands because she already taken the things from her friend.
i think the xmm is at fault
bus stopped in front of the girl and the driver said in chinese "fiercely" asking her why she use her legs to flag. he repeated that for about 4 times before opening the door. once the door opened, he said the same things to the girl again. she said that she was taking somethings from her friends so she use legs. the driver appeared pissed and in the end the xmm and her friends boarded the bus.
i was sitting at then front and i felt that the xmm did nothing wrong and the bus driver got attitude problem. bully xmm is not right

showing your legs, especially with shows on, is showing rudeness to the person. in this case, is the bus driver.
And stick the legs out seems to be wanting to kick the bus? -
driver attitude lar knn its not like she pointed middle finger haven say a word scold ppl so many times

I flagged with my legs before....twice...for no apparent reason...
both event, the driver had something bad to say....
C'mon, its rude.... some more i not sexy...haha -

You shud come NTU and take shuttle bus..Got one driver even more attitude..
Today, he just shot pass us and gesticulated that we should go to the bus stop further infront.. Aparts from that, we have bus stops that only cater to Shuttle Buses, and anyone with common sense will just stop even if the person doesn't flag it down. I mean, COM'on!!! The bus stop only caters to shuttle buses, naturally those waiting down there are obviously taking the shuttle.. -
Wah !!! got such BC before one ah .... I never encounted these type of BCs before.

I feel that the BC was not even overreacting. Look at this, you use your leg to flag for a bus, what does that reflect on you?

Once I was waiting at a bus stop outside my camp. I had an injury that caused me to limp slowly. This bus driver came along and overshot the bay. Then while I was trying to limp after the bus, he let the bus cruise slowly forward so I couldn't reach the front entrance. This continued for a minute until I gave up and turned back towards the bus stop. Previously I've encountered this same driver before and he overshot nearly all the stops each time

like this black ang moh.. ask me for directions, then wait for the bus. Bus comes and went.. he just stare at the bus..
i ask him why he never flag. he said "I EXPECT(ED) THE BUS TO COME TO THE BUS STOP WITHOUT ME HAILING"!!!! -
i use my middle finger to flag the bus if the bus comes very late and is behind schedule
and once i board the bus, i scold the driver "kan ni na you, why so late?!"
remember one thing, customer is always correct -

No lah...they although drivers, have pride also mah....
they expect to be respected mah...like if you flag the bus with your legs deliberately, like treat them so lowly like that.
Imagine, you throw a used tissue, just cleared ur nose with, to a beggar's bowl?
Or you go to a high class restaurant, then give 1cts tips in the US?? either you give 1-2 dollars tips or no tips at all.
How you expect them to feel good with this kind of response from commuters leh?

Different cultures have different ways of doing things. In Australia and NZ the buses stop at bus stops without the need for passengers to hail for it! Perhaps its your fault for not helping him to hail the bus! -
flagging for the bus wiv ur foot is downright rude.
i think, the BC would rather the gal not flag for the bus at all and stop for her then to be flagged by her foot. -

Anyway, both parties could be at fault and there might be miscommunication that lead to the animosity.
