Oops , forgot to add in...Sv 86 as well stops thereOriginally posted by Icemoon:4 buses ONLY and need TWO big bus stops?
And 86Originally posted by Volvo Olympian:Sv 39 , 103 , 168 , 858 Stops there
Which one is before and after the camp gates?Originally posted by off_service:The bus stops are of this nature because that place was formerly a terminal, Jalan Kayu Terminal. One bus stop is used for boarding and another was used for alighting.
The bus stops are now used to differentiate the directions of where the buses are going. Just take a look at the service plates at the bus stop and you can see plates stating:
-Bus stop 1-
86 to Sengkang
39 to Tampines / 168 to Bedok
858 to Changi Airport
-Bus stop 2-
86 to Ang Mo Kio
39 to Yishun / 168 to Woodlands
858 to Woodlands
103 and 103W doesn't need the bus stop directional plates as operating hours plates will display all information needed.
Bus-stop 1 near entrance of camp and Bus-stop 2 near exit of campOriginally posted by iveco:Which one is before and after the camp gates?
Wait a minute .. you mean the buses don't stop at both stops?Originally posted by off_service:The bus stops are of this nature because that place was formerly a terminal, Jalan Kayu Terminal. One bus stop is used for boarding and another was used for alighting.

no leh .. i'm quite sure 168 to bedok utilises both stops.Originally posted by 105090:Different stops, different directions
No, they wont stop on both stops. Only one of them.Originally posted by Icemoon:no leh .. i'm quite sure 168 to bedok utilises both stops.
please believe me. 168 to bedok uses the bus stop b4 the gate, shorter one.Originally posted by Icemoon:no leh .. i'm quite sure 168 to bedok utilises both stops.
Then they should use the outer lane? 'cos they use inner lane if got bus in front also must wait for them.Originally posted by sinicker:please believe me. 168 to bedok uses the bus stop b4 the gate, shorter one.
den must turn right full lock like crazy leh to get to the outer lane.Originally posted by Icemoon:Then they should use the outer lane? 'cos they use inner lane if got bus in front also must wait for them.
Maybe I was dreaming on the bus. Or maybe the driver saw got someone flag the bus and since that place is usually not crowded .. he stopped and allowed the passengers to board?
that's true. so why not build the stop further from the entrance?Originally posted by sinicker:den must turn right full lock like crazy leh to get to the outer lane.
it's a probability.. waiting time for 168 so long, so BC decided to be kind. maybe the passengers were reminded as they boarded the bus.
dono.Originally posted by Icemoon:that's true. so why not build the stop further from the entrance?
I just think it is kinda dumb to travel past a stop you're never going to stop and you cannot overtake.
u isolated case ah. i find it comfortable. take 168 to jln kayu, switch to 86 at same stop to go eat prata. gg home also same, no need to switch.Originally posted by 105090:I always take 103 from YCK Rd, alight at b/f the gate, then walk to take 168 to woodlands (aft the gate) then see bus comes run like mad.
lol .. I can imagine there is a bus blocking you in front. Then someone outside your bus flags you. You can't move and yet you won't open your door. The person must be fuming like mad.Originally posted by 105090:Still, if u flag at wrong stop, BC will assume you flag wrong bus.. wont likely to open for you
