actually, there are little changes between the marks in terms of engine with regards of maintenance.... and the spare parts are interchangeable... that's why SBST are happy to have lots of Volvo's and T(H)D102KF's (and later D(H)10A) around. -

Because of their higher passenger to driver ratios, that can also mean with more articulated buses around, the population of lower capacity rigid buses can be reduced. Therefore road space consumption by buses overall need not increase i.e. traffic congestion same but with fewer drivers deployed to drive the same or more passengers around.
