Jus a note: Ok, lets say im dun visit any bus forum or haf any contacts wif any one wif SBST or SMRT, den i haf to do a project on Singapore Buses, den i haf to haf a picture of sum buses, den i thought tat the best place to go would be a Bus Interchange, however, i dun noe the rule tat no photography is allowed without permission, wad if i get booked bcoz i took bus pic w/o permission?
Not to cre8 flame, but this is my thinking, as a person hu dun visit bus forums.
Yes, you may do what is mentioned in the first para by all means. A cheap way of circumventing the rule, but its legal as we're not in their premises.Originally posted by hseochin:After analysing the wordings & intents from their communication, in that case then use some long distance zoom lens to take your shots from a comfortable spot OUTSIDE their premises ! On nearby public roads etc.
Anycase, to cater to the interests of the bus community here, what these operators can do is to make available photo/video taking forms for download on the Internet so that the photographer can fill-in the required details on the forms & submit on-line & even print out for presentation prior to the session ?
I think the second point is quite feasable, just an additional like Friends of SBST link. I think bus enthusiasts and some other people who are doing projects will be glad to have this alternative. BTW, CAAS also has a link where someone can register before taking photos of Changi Airport.Originally posted by hseochin:After analysing the wordings & intents from their communication, in that case then use some long distance zoom lens to take your shots from a comfortable spot OUTSIDE their premises ! The bus community in Singapore is too small to make such an initiative viable. Most nice photography spots are not inside the interchange proper even.
