1) Are they members of BIH Forum also?Originally posted by MS:Bus Info hub forums is very professional. Members are strictly screened and even monitored after joining. The moment tehe member creats trouble he will be booted out. The posts there do not have bickerings. Serious discussions only. And even in arguments, its done soundly. Thats why I like that forum so much as to try my best to restrict as much previledge to that forum as possible. Even the technical notes that are not classified I have during my courses conducted in HG also let the bus info hub forum members photo copy. The B9TL electrical diagram only give to the members of Bus info hub only. But I gave the B9TL test drive at SLBP today and my CNG tech guide to a couple of SGforums people also. Can ask around.

Actually, I don't find it quite unusual that forum administrators go to those lengths to "protect" their forums. Another forum I go to (a digital design and software skinning forum) also goes to lengths when it comes to accepting new members. For one thing, their registrations aren't always open, and when they do, you need a paid e-mail account, and you are screened before they put you in as a restricted member. Only when you show you are serious to being part of the forums then you are granted full posting and other forum rights.Originally posted by stooper:That's something I don't like... What kind of forum is that? Some elitist forum? No freedom?

There's actually a patternOriginally posted by eX.A.K.R.:How do you guys manage to figure out the last letter?![]()
8 letters every 100, like TIB1099SOriginally posted by stooper:There's actually a pattern
ECAYUSPLJGDBZXTRMH
It skips a letter when it jumps from 9 to 0. (ie, 3739J then 3740D, skipping G)
It also skips letters every 100, but not sure how many letters though...![]()

BIHF is s8, not s9.Originally posted by SGEMP:no wonder why i tried to sign up for s9 (now BIHF) many times and still cannot larx...........

You hit the nail on the head. It is to keep troublemakers out, and people who have NFI. It is also an environment where speculation is kept to a minimum, and hence, the members there are also highly trusted. If anyone from SINbus or SGforums was to be in that forum, and any sensitive information was to come out, then speculation will begin, and you have threads like we have here on the B9TL. It may be extreme, but I suppose it has to be done.Originally posted by eX.A.K.R.:Actually, I don't find it quite unusual that forum administrators go to those lengths to "protect" their forums. However, I do agree that BusInfoHub is a bit too extreme. In the forum I mentioned, members are booted out only when they break enough rules, create enough trouble or when the general consensus is that the member is trouble. Otherwise, the moderators there are quite tolerant of a few extremely minor mistakes here and there. Also, once you show yourself as a serious member for a long enough period of time, the moderators don't pretty care about what you do there unless, again, it's rule-breaking.
Paid email acct needed for BIH Forums???Originally posted by SGEMP:(off topic)

too bad too sad that i currently do not have paid email acct......yet paid email accts are required for acct registration in BIHF,
Back then, in SGForums, it were the mods themselves who were the troublemakers... Thinking they were the kings, creating 2nd accounts themselves, not admitting to their mistakes, etc...Originally posted by Windy_hates_B10TLs:It is to keep troublemakers out, and people who have NFI.

Where is your proof that the mods created multiple accounts?Originally posted by stooper:Back then, in SGForums, it were the mods themselves who were the troublemakers... Thinking they were the kings, creating 2nd accounts themselves, not admitting to their mistakes, etc...
To deal wif ppl like you iveco (who are not even from hell...God knows wat kinda realm...and no...u r not from heaven)...it was obviously necessary to be a mod from hell.Originally posted by iveco:Where is your proof that the mods created multiple accounts?
