The MB O305 was 11.1 metres. It was the longest and the had the most passenger capacity NAC DD in Singapore. SBS never had any 9.5 metre DDs. The shortest DD would be the Volvo-Ailsa B55 which stretched at 9.88 metres. All the previous Leyland DDs, ie. Atlantean and Olympian (2 axle), were of the longer 10.4 metre version. I have no info regarding the lengths of the Scania BR112DH nor the Volvo B10MD.

The rego you stated was that of a Volvo B10BLE CNG, a single-decker.
This thread is that of the Volvo B9TL, a double-decker.
A simple search at Google or Wikipedia will help. -

SBST have registered all their balance B9TLs on 26/27/28 Sept.
A lot of these B9TLs are currently in NON-USER LAY UP STATUS till 4 Oct 2007.
SBST have to register these buses before 1 Oct 2006 due to the ruling on the EURO IV standard.... Some of these buses are registered even though they might not been assembled...

almost all those B9TL with rego from 7401 to 7499 are in Non-user lay up status, cos they have not been built yet i think.. -

sure theres government influence.. the private sector dont get such "privileges"..

No blanket extension on Euro IV standards
I REFER to the article, 'Emission reprieve cushions drop in COE rates' (ST, Oct 5).
Euro IV emission standards for diesel vehicles came into force on Oct 1.
The National Environment Agency wishes to clarify that there is no blanket extension to the implementation deadline for Euro IV emission standards for diesel vehicles.
Only motor traders who could produce proof of buyers for their vehicles, but were unable to secure COEs for these vehicles by Oct 1, were allowed to do so during the Oct 4 bidding. They are required to register their vehicles by Oct 15.

anyway, since they are considered registered and laid up, will they honour it as such, tat is, the 17 years start from the date of registration? if not, then such is a special arrangement within the government.
