As [b]Volvo Olympian said above, the gearbox sound. Voith gearboxes have a distinctive whistling sound, making buses sound rather futuristic; perk your ears up for them when the bus decelerates - it will go something like "wEEEEEeeeeeeeeuuu...".
As for ZF, I'm not too sure, but I heard some of them have a howling sound.[/b]
and for a Voith, it shift its gear slower than a ZF -

another alternative is to relocate the boarding berth of sv 161 to the taxi stands by the side of the station -

nope... heavily doubt if will be introduced on cck, bt batok svces... maybe 190 but a definite no to 106... its empty durin offpeaks and i wonder y SMRT puts in habits... buses like 61 have many inaccessible to wheelchair bus stops

To be more specific, the new B9TLs Voith gearbox model is the VOITH D864.3, 4-speed gearbox, and is currently the only bus to be eqipped with 4-speed Voith gearbox, other Voiths were all 3-speed. ZFs has alot of speeds available here.
