It was reported that the cost is S$70 million for 150 buses, so one bus cost around S$467 000.Originally posted by muziq bus:anyway, does anybody know how much the B9TL costs?
oh, izzit, den how come i c more and more EDS wif dots problem???Originally posted by muziq bus:That is why commuters can get a fast ride on SMRT... the drivers are always rushing.... SBST buses are slow and are uncomfortable and usually have small legrooms...
At least for EDS, SMRT is always willing to fix and replace them....
unlike 9888Y....spoilt, then throw...
anyway, does anybody know how much the B9TL costs?
i shall be the judge of this with the help of my long legs.Originally posted by alex_cai92:and the B9TL has solved the legroom problem!!!YAY!![]()
haha yeah.. wider legroom is a relief.. havent forgot those mk2 WA.. esp when the seat's floor has the hump (accomodate the wheels) that part..Originally posted by sinicker:i shall be the judge of this with the help of my long legs.
What he meant was that counterweights are added to the vehicle, not the air suspension system is heavy!Originally posted by hseochin:What's the make/model of this ambulance ??
The rear air-suspension a standard or optional add-on feature ?
You sure air-springs add a lot of weight to a vehicle ?!?
I see air-suspension as being more 'fluid' than leaf-spring suspension in distributing the load of the vehicle. There should be a rocker-switch (like on the M-B Vito/V-Class) whereby the desired height of the rear can be set.
The system tends to be self-leveling by nature.
200 km/h ?? i'm doubtful the ambulances here can do that !!
Maybe the most 170 km/h for those with the new 2.7 litre diesel engine.
LOL! Not neccessary! TIB 1251T's side EDS was just recently fixed(last month I think)! One day, the driver didn't cover the side EDS properly and it showed 60?...Originally posted by muziq bus:At least for EDS, SMRT is always willing to fix and replace them....

haha... its ok, I do not blame you for assuming things becos you're unaware of many things that have been going on. Anyway nice try. If you're interested to know more always can contact Volvo or SBST feedback forms.Originally posted by hseochin:If what i speculate is in doubt, then how's it noone in SBST did any correction to the windscreen sticker on that B9TL to lay claim as 1st Euro-4 bus here instead of Euro-3 ?!??
Technical specifications themselves are based on certain very specific assumptions/conditions being met, otherwise even workshop technical specifications etc. need not be an accurate depiction of the actual product @ hand. Manufacturers can have varients/different versions of even 1 model.
Looking @ the picture more 'casually', if a vehicle is Euro-4 compliant, then technically such a vehicle is also Euro-3, Euro-2, Euro-1 even Euro-0 compliant.
That's because of the incremental stringentness of the emission standards in progression from Euro-0 to 4 & beyond.
Like saying this PC peripheral is USB 2.0 compliant => it's also USB 1.1 compliant BUT another device stated as USB 1.1 compliant need NOT also be USB 2.0 compliant i.e. backwards compatability goes in 1 direction only hence not necessarilly true the other way round.

I hope to see them on CLE routes. Svc 7, 14, 147 & 166 should get at least 1 to 2 each.Originally posted by 28_29_293:saying abt the new buses, let's predict which svcs they will ply?

svc7,14 a lot of DDs. svcs 31,56,64,74,154 should be top priority. 64 serves the mei ling estate which a lot of senior citizens stay, 74 & 154 cos it's not fully aircon fleet. 31 is cos of ite college east.Originally posted by iveco:I hope to see them on CLE routes. Maybe 168Originally posted by SBS9611D:64 already has 2 perm tridents. There may be other routes with no perm low-floor DD.
Oh well... I don't know why but points being brought up by you are so trivial and not worth mentioning. I wonder... do you have even MORE constructive things to bring up to the forum.Originally posted by alex_cai92:oh, izzit, den how come i c more and more EDS wif dots problem???

slow? i c more SBST buses rushing and more SMRT buses crawing...trend r changing oreadi...
another thing to add is tat the blakc background for the B9TL desto makes TEXT-LESS DD DESTO looks nicer...maybe SBST is doing away with those wordings...
Crap... please... do not make such inferences next time. You do not know what certain things have happened!Originally posted by alex_cai92:WHY NOT! He haf to bear serious consequences if he anyhow put the rego...since he is FOSBST and WAS AT THE CEREMONY, Why not?
