Erm no. I think its the aluminium oxide. If the wheels are covered with some sort of protection such as plastics, then im not sure. If not, it shld be aluminium oxide. The oxide prevents the aluminium from being corroded, like steel. I got one portable CD player that has an aluminium covering, it has since blackened alot. Dont think is dirt leh. Dirt wash already come off. That black thing must be scrubbed very hard in order for it to be removed. Dirt isn't so difficult to be cleaned off.Originally posted by Superbus:It's dirt, hunny. -

It is dirt. I have tried scrubbing it off. The bus wash is unable to penetrate the dirt due to the position of the bristles. The dirt on the axle has to be scrubbed off manually. Anywy 7413 spotted on svc 9 at Bedok this morning. the bus went back to depot at 1100 hrs. Should be coming out later during peak hours. -
Dont rely on SGwiki. Try BIH. SGwiki infro may not be accurate. Last time for e.g., when SMRT bus TIB1163P is being transferred to 960 from 962, sgwiki still display deployed on 962. I only hopes that CDE would fitted a different body type on the last 10 buses or so rather than the usual ones,Voith 4 speed gearbox will be nice.

Yea. The current bodywork is abit like copying Wright buses' design, nth special.
