SBS 7437D on Service 2.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:Anyway, 7434L spotted on svc 12 this morning. Should be one of the replacement buses for one the outgoing B9TLs to HGdep (7381, 7383 an 7386)
Then how the PIW go up to the MRT Station or Causeway Point?Originally posted by swee_heng:Recently i seen B9 frequent on 161 maybe they are trying out to put B9 on 161. The ramp shouldn't have problems reaching the kerb of Woodlands Int , if not why B9 always cameo on 161?
I don't think that's SBST's main focus if they really want to operate B9TLs on Service 161.Originally posted by Volvo Olympian:Then how the PIW go up to the MRT Station or Causeway Point?![]()
Agreed. The main catchment for PIWs could be anywhere along the route. If 161's getting B9TL I guess most probably is due to BGMP.Originally posted by SBS9816E:I don't think that's SBST's main focus if they really want to operate B9TLs on Service 161.
I agree and also SBST take this chance to show off the new buses to SMRT. Afterall Woodlands is SMRT's area.Originally posted by off_service:Agreed. The main catchment for PIWs could be anywhere along the route. If 161's getting B9TL I guess most probably is due to BGMP.
Normally SBST drivers of B9 will purposely go beside the UDs and drive at the same speed when there is one. They won't if there isn't. Thats wad i observedOriginally posted by Airbus330Captain:I agree and also SBST take this chance to show off the new buses to SMRT. Afterall Woodlands is SMRT's area.

They aren't on the roads yet, except for 7499A (Went for BC orientation). But they are all out from Non-User Lay-Up Status, that's for sure.Originally posted by SBS9806J:SBS7451L, SBS7454D, SBS7477M, and SBS7499A are out already meh? Someone go and change it in SgWiki here:

Im sure that the reason on why B9s are being deployed on these 2 services is something more than what you've mentioned.Originally posted by swee_heng:Wat i think that 161 & 168 often has B9 is because of this 2 reasons , 1. to challenge SMRT buses on SLE as SLE links to SMRT's territory like Woodlands 2nd : just to show off how "classic" they are than the "cheapskate" or Budget SMRT's UDs
Don't think there's any SMRT service ply along SLE aft Yishun flyover , all SMRT Services exit at the Yishun Flyover , maybe just a short part of it between CTE/TPE to YishunOriginally posted by swee_heng:Wat i think that 161 & 168 often has B9 is because of this 2 reasons , 1. to challenge SMRT buses on SLE as SLE links to SMRT's territory like Woodlands 2nd : just to show off how "classic" they are than the "cheapskate" or Budget SMRT's UDs
SBST buy buses to show off meh?Originally posted by swee_heng:Wat i think that 161 & 168 often has B9 is because of this 2 reasons , 1. to challenge SMRT buses on SLE as SLE links to SMRT's territory like Woodlands 2nd : just to show off how "classic" they are than the "cheapskate" or Budget SMRT's UDs
Agreed. But I think that the show-off part is not far from the truth either.Originally posted by sBs_boy:Im sure that the reason on why B9s are being deployed on these 2 services is something more than what you've mentioned.
Excuse me.. what are you trying to say from here?Originally posted by Bus 163 1688:SBS7477, SBS7451, SBS7454 and SBS7499 are all in HGDEP and they are on the road
Something wrong with your eyes.. How can the buses be inside the Depot and running on the roads at the same time ?Originally posted by Bus 163 1688:SBS7477, SBS7451, SBS7454 and SBS7499 are all in HGDEP and they are on the road
