haha that time i took one on 196 , all the way from bedok interchange to clementi interchange . Total journey time is about 1hr + . I love the interior of the B9TL , altho the exterior might need a little redesigning . I love its unique opaque handgrip as well . Hope The upcoming Scania have similar interior colour and design . -

Did anyone notice there's a turbo lag (very slight) in the B9TL's engine? You can feel it..when the bus first accelerate off from a standstill it feels slow..then suddenly you can feel the engine becoming more powerful..i guess that's where the turbo kicks in..
And another thing about the B9TLs..i think ComfortDelgro's interior for the B9TL is nice but quality quite bad..seen a lot of B9TLs on Svc. 80 witht eh rubber strips surrounding the glass window dropping out..

Wa..you also being a bit lame here? Bendies are heavier than DDs.SBST loves to tighten the speed between 55-65 majority although they are few exceptional ones while SMRTB is between 65-80 mostly while some of the devils can easily overtake a van running at around 80km/h.Any buses given to SBST will surely have problems speeding.

Carbikebus has explained clearly why SMRT buses are faster.
B9TL comparing with the range of DD buses is the fastest . Yes, It has a powerful engine . Period. -

BC follow timesheet..goes slow cause follow timesheet! like DUH!!!! looks like the only B9TL svc u take is 196..
B10TLs acceleration power is the weakest amongst all the DDs...but B10TLs are much more stable in terms of suspension...
B10TLs voith are really problematic...SBS9888Y doesnt seem to give so many problems...
B9TLs got this problem i feel that they may face in the future...when they brake too hard they may stall like the CNGs...the engine usually got abit vibration like a ddddddd and den an awkward pause den ddddddd again when it is close to idle... -

i find WAB services are being lengthened in terms of journey time...thats y they have to take their own sweet time
if u get a B9TL to compete with an LO3x its about the same..but compared to MB0405...B9TLs are better...MB0405 MAX speed is quite low though the acceleration is fine...
go try take a 143 B9TL on its last trip...get a good BC too...trust me u'll have the time of ur life -

public buses seems to be excused from speed limiters/ speeding and summons like beating red light etc!

Of course I got nth against but the statement you made were unbelieveable. Do u mean those B9TL only overtake those buses during the last trips but kana overtake by other buses during other timing? Are you sure the MB 0405 are unable to overtake B9TL. Oh got, pls answer me why I always see the MB on Express 502 speeding here and there along PIE? Dun really believe that a single deck can't match wit a DD in terms of acceleration. Btw, u can see those MB 0405 from svc 154, svc 197 and especially 97E (ffw buses) overtake svc 198's B9TL along AYE. We'll never know whether the B9TLs or the MB O405s are faster unless we put them side by side and ask them to accelerate off together..but one thing's for sure..the MB has lotsa low-end torque..so acceleration actually not bad..may stand a chance against the B9TL..but again, the B9TLs have turbos which the MBs of SBST doesn't have..turbos boost power too..and the turbo on a B9TL kicks in quite early, so low-down torque also not bad..so it's still hard to get a winner..haha..Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Of course I got nth against but the statement you made were unbelieveable. 2) 9 litre engine not fastest. the 10 litre engine VO3x ought to out perform the B9. however the B9 is fitted with the crazy Zf 6 speed auto trasnmission.
forgive me if i precieve that the torque and gearbox ratios are superbly much better than the VO3x.
having taken Merc Zf 6 speed in Kl and now the B9 i daresay these B9s can easily outrun even taxi at start up before losing to the cab in terms of reaching max speed.
have taken madness speeds B9s. they acclerate fast reaching top speed then braking hard to slow down.
in terms of 10 litre vs 9 litre obviously the 10 litre bus will have more power. in our case i think we are affected by the fast gear change and troque conversion of the B9. the 10 litre VO if unlimited oughto go really fast compared to B9 IF unlimited speed. i mean 10 is bigger than 9 in the long run.
