I prefer bodywork which are able to meet my requirements, ranked in priority (1 means most important to me & so on) as below :
1. Does NOT emit any squeaking, cracking & rattling noises !
1. High (i.e. car-like) standard of finishing quality with attention to detail
meaning external bodywork with visible riveting is OUT !! Use of hand brush
to paint the bodywork also OUT !
2. Built to same philiosphy & focus etc. as the maker of the bus-chassi, i.e. if in
the case of not an 'original bus' but bus-chassi only. (Of course in the case of
bus/coach with original chassi makers 'officially approved' bodywork this
para. then not applicable as then the standards are deemed met !)
2. Good functional & practical designs
3. Timeless but modern & relevant styling
Bodywork which best meet my requirements thus like M-B original Mannheim built bodies, Kassbohrer Setras etc. along such class. -

Not necessarilly so.
It can be managed such that other parties foot any such cost increases for the benefit of the community here in order to maximise the appeal of public transport here. The Government can be most helpful (directly/indirectly) here, if it wants to. Affordability certainly cannot be a 'big problem' to them !!
Look @ the taxi fleet here notice the big improvements in the good no. of M-B taxis over the last 7 years as e.g. of what can be achieved WITHOUT the commutor always having to pay big fare increases to use them.
Here you can flag down a new 1st class M-B taxi by the roadside & pay NOT very different fare compared to flagging down a much lousier class of taxi from the other makes.
