Hillview Ave: Height restriction of 4.3m (KTM railway track flyover)
seen it, thks for reminding me.Originally posted by ^tamago^:thought mentioned by alex_cai92?
This really brings some problems right? First you can't put a route there which uses Double Deckers, and second, the road's way too narrow. Too bad we can't do anything about it yetOriginally posted by Apex-LW'21:you missed out one more.

I always end up being squashed. Usually SBS 1959 D is the one hit because it goes back to CLE on its route (After loop) at around 7.30am. SBS 1925 B, apparently taking SBS2762Y's place is badly hit during evening peak.Originally posted by ah-soh:I have seen many people squeezed on a 99 striders before.
It seems like striders are penetrating in the BBDEP/ARBP services that uses DDs![]()
Tree you trim, NParks will want your life.Originally posted by grandeur:Hm look like the bridges in singapore is causing problem DD deployment. I think there are two solutions to solve this long term problem.
The solution are:
1) LTA or government standardize all the bridges' height to 4.5m
2) The SBS use bus models which have a shorter height for the affected routes
How about the tree??Trim it??
I believe bus models can be adjusted to meet the specification of lower height. Buses are manufactured by man. Man can decides the height of it. Anyone know DD models in the world that is 4.3m n below?Originally posted by Donavan:Tree you trim, NParks will want your life.
SBS bus models shorter height, then no DD lol!
LTA one is possible, but no $$$,. What if more SDs were deployed?
erm, pls stop saying long bus long bus coz it actually refers to 997. use bendy or articulated(artic)Originally posted by grandeur:I believe bus models can be adjusted to meet the specification of lower height. I think long bus can solve the problem, but i know long bus is creating parking problems for SBS bus Terminal. Look at tip bus, they have alot of long buses in singapore.
More SDs deploy? Have you taken a crowded bus and seen a emptied same number bus behind or over took the bus u were taking? ( commuters don't know and squeeze themselves to whatever that is coming)
1) how? some bridges are built oreadi and will cost a bomb to re-construct them to 4.5m, e.g. hillview/merdeka bridge...Originally posted by grandeur:Hm look like the bridges in singapore is causing problem DD deployment. I think there are two solutions to solve this long term problem.

some bridges are low for historical or design-specific reasons. if we could have our way, we could have asked KTM to pack back and we will remove their railway in singapore. u think we could do tat? no.Originally posted by grandeur:Hm look like the bridges in singapore is causing problem DD deployment. Ask government to demolish bridges and build higher ones.Originally posted by grandeur:Any genius to solve the problem?![]()
