Bus no. 265

FYI, SBST has taken a new stand on air-conditioning in buses. Customers ARE entitled to complain to the BC if they find the aircon too stuffy or hot. The BC will then follow a set protocol which involves restarting the aircon and increasing blower strength etc. If all else fails, the bus will be taken out of service and passengers will be given a breakdown ticket for a free ride on the next bus.
Even non aircon buses have ventilation blowers in them, I think it will be quite rare to see someone sweat heavily after riding it. Especially when 265 is a FEEDER service which doesn't take more than 1 hour to complete its route. I think one would sweat more partying in a bar than riding on a NAC bus.
People, please do not complain too much. Think about your forefathers and past generations who endured worse living conditions than what we have now. Count your blessings, not your curses. If you think an NAC bus is not your two cents' worth, hop on a cab and overpay like nobody's business. Or maybe try running home and burn off your unwanted fats. -

about the bus fans inside the buses.. how many times was the fans actually on?
last time i experienced very regular fan blowing was like 6 years ago..
and of all the VO2x travelled in 10 years, only like 4 trips open the fan! The volvo mk2 WA nowadays also dont on the fans..
and the fans inside mk3/ mk4.. dont know whats its for.. display purposes or.. -
Its not a fan. Its called a forced air ventilation system. What it does is take the air outside and force it through the vents through blowers. This is especially useful to circulate the air within the bus in times of rain when the windows are shut. If the windows are open, the effect is minimal but it still provides a certain degree of relief when the bus is still. Turning the blowers on/off is dependant on the driver.
As for the fans on the Mk III, I believe these act like an exhaust fan, taking away the stale air inside the bus and improving the circulation. I've seen these fans working before. As with the blowers, these are turned on/off by the driver. -

The BC always turn off the forced air ventilation system on most of Sv 74's VO2x buses. So far, I had experience only one VO2x bus on 74 that the BC had the forced air ventilation system turned on, and that is SBS 7295 X. When you are inside the service, you will somehow understand the point of why whether me or others getting the ... with such things..

Bus fares of feeders have risen from a mere 25 cents to a phenomena 80 or 90 cents whether it's airconless or aircon..that's how many times sheer profit?
I can't go on SBS 265 except on emergencies, I normally ride my bicycle around AMK!

I don't understand why some of you people here complainted about non air-conditioned buses on Service 265. Commuters pay non air-conditioned fares, hence one pays less. Now... one could save up about 10 cents, and 10 cents can be a lot when you are talking about long term saving.
Well, if some of you think that non air-conditioned buses on feeder services is a 'sin' done by bus operator, well, think again. What happens when there is NO, yes, N.O. buses serving on Service 265? That would be the worse scenairo, and commuters would complain more about Service 265.
Let me tell you people this: I live in a town where there ARE non air-conditioned buses serving on feeder services. However, I don't see what's the wrong with non air-conditioned buses on them.
In my thoughts, "When there's a 'wheel', there's a way. When there's no 'wheels', there's no way u could reach a destination." It's a reality in life. Face it!
Sometimes complaints in life can be too trivial and generate lots of unnecessary worries or woes.
