Based on my observations for the past few months, I also felt that by doing this, WLDEP is being unfair by putting Nissans specifically only on services 178, 187 and 980, whereas the Scanias from these services go to other services as cameos. -

During off peak hours, I hardly see UDs. I wouldnt mind UDs as split shift buses during peak hours. Imagine you are stranded at the bus stop for like 45 mins just because you are reluctant to board a UD, or simply the buses are overloaded?

remove all the DDs from 14, 196. 38 can be scrapped, so useless.
28,29 and 293 are nothing and a waste of money. 34 can be rid of. 70 and 76 are useless. -

If 28 / 29 / 293 are Scrapped. One whole Section of Tampines will not have any buses plying.

some services with double deckers have very bad frequencies. such as 14 (15mins), 196 (13mins), 10 (15mins), 89 (14mins) during peak hours etc etc etc etc.
the DD has higher capacity to offset the long frequency.
also, sv14 has its FFW service 14e... always see many people waiting for 14, but 14e comes, then they board it. one minute after 14e left, a sv14 DD comes, rather empty..
10, 14, 89, 196 all got FFW
get the meaning?
