dun tink is maybe...wif 150 buses, such service shld be a few buses bah...Originally posted by SBS9889U:Maybe the situation will change with the new Volvo B9TLs
Unlikely cos priority will be given to svs that the Handicapped Assn feels most of their members would takeOriginally posted by SBS9889U:Maybe the situation will change with the new Volvo B9TLs
Not true. There has been no confirmation as on where should the new buses go yet. So it's is very early to jump to any conclusions.Originally posted by sbst275:Unlikely cos priority will be given to svs that the Handicapped Assn feels most of their members would take
Anyway, Sv 56 not really that packed. Saw at 1800 a O405, still there's standing room
Well, at times, it is best to deploy as many to that particular service as far as possible.Originally posted by MS:Not true. There has been no confirmation as on where should the new buses go yet. So it's is very early to jump to any conclusions.
But of course with the new handicapped friendly buses, the buses will be at a better position to offer assistance to the handicapped people. So some priority will be given to them. There're altogether 150 new buses so there're more than enough buses to cover the needs at the most sensible costs.
But replacing 200 Scanias + 200 MK2s?Originally posted by MS:There're altogether 150 new buses so there're more than enough buses to cover the needs at the most sensible costs.
Due to shortage of drivers.Originally posted by stooper:But replacing 200 Scanias + 200 MK2s?I see perm buses missing from timeslots with no replacement bus (esp 179)

...and buses too. Remember the service 265 incident ? The shortage of buses for 265 resulting in the usage of NAC scanias on that service and now 265 becomes a PAC bus. 155 had also starting to use the NAC scanias. Can't imagine when the MKII retire.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Due to shortage of drivers.
If there is shortage of buses, those new svs launched last yr should not even be allowed to be introduced...Originally posted by CAIX:...and buses too. Remember the service 265 incident ? I do think it's shortage of buses...Originally posted by sbst275:If there is shortage of buses, those new svs launched last yr should not even be allowed to be introduced...
When talking in service, when you know you have shortage of resources, it is not advisable to stretch it furtherOriginally posted by stooper:I do think it's shortage of buses...
When all those new services were introduced, many MK2s got transfered away from SLBP... It was the few weeks after that, that 179 had up to 4 buses missing a day... But now, it's better after the 10 CNGs were introduced...
