Actually, whats so bad about the Nissans?
Comparing it to a UMW lance, when u'r seating down its more comfortable on a nissan than on a lance. Esp along the bukit timah road which 852 takes. A nissan may have bad suspension, but don't forget the 4 inch cusion seat, compare that to a Lance's seat and the hard air suspersion, which do u want?
Maybe some complain its dirty. Thats rather true, but thats for mainly the ex-css nissans, the Tib 3xx are rather clean. -
I love the Nissan UDs.
Large windows, cool aircon, fabric cushioned seats.Like those in Tokyo.
Heck, if the Japs can use them still, why'd the hell are we complaining.. -
TIB364H - TIB377X OAC so-so only lah
TIB1248D - TIB1256E (the former CSS CAC buses) reminds me of the previous NAC TIBS buses in the past, old and dirty with brown uncomfortable seats

I remember once, I was on 1250X on 187. I was sitting on the 2nd last seat on the right. I remember the person in front say the bus like from 80s, the person on my left, diagonally front left and rear left said the bus was very hot, open window even better. So actually everyone around me was complaining except from behind, since the last seat had 5cm legroom...
And also, the seat over the rear wheel... the arch is so high! They should have installed longtitudunial seats, like the N113s. -
I preferred the OACs, they are the best. I don't like the CACs, very uncomfortable & sometimes the seats are dirty.

Okie guys, let me share with you my experiences on Nissan UDs buses during the times where BPJ feeders kena this kind of buses.
During those times, for CAC UDs, i used to sit either the very rear seat or the seat in front of it (both on right hand side) and open up the windows upward when i'm feeling very hot (especially in the afternoon), so as to allow natural wind to blow past me. Of course before i alighted, i would shut off the window so as not to cause troubles for the SL (Service Leaders, SMRT Buses).
As for the OAC UDs, i will try to occupy the seat as front as possible because all the heat (so-called Sauna) came from the rear of the bus, for a simple reason that there's no window for me to open it.
Those days arh, where i always hope for a breakdown and hope for a replacement for a Merz/Scania breakdown cameo bus.. and since the beginning of this year(2006), i've counting the number of Nissan UDs breakdown.. Till the day when Merz/Scania are back on BPJ feeder svcs.. (Jan 2 to Feb 24, about 17-20 breakdowns. -

I am no bus fan but these buses are the worst kind in Singapore . I never come across any other buses there is lousier then this especially the bus that can open the windows. Horrible aircon and super slow buses.

yeah they did run on S67. but i was in line waiting to joyride on S969 so i stayed in the queue.
