SBS got all these new buses because they are in the process of fleet renewal. First, LO 2X gone. Now B10M Mk II and N113 going soon. Then after that, the MB O405. As for SMRT, their fleet is fairly new. Their buses are not retiring anytime soon. However, I agree that SMRT should get new buses. Apart from the ex-CSS Nissans, there were no significant new additions since the SMRT takeover. With all this WAB and Euro-4 standard, I'm sure SMRT will get new buses sooner or later. Only time will tell.

trust me...i've been on a crowded 190 bendy on one saturday afternoon and it was above 60. Hmm i think that the Nissans are rather unique that it's gearbox produces one of the loudest psst psst sound when the gears switches to neutral, louder than the O405 counter parts.

Come to think of it, after all the psst psst sound you say they come from ZF gearboxes, I tried to take notice... I think it's from the brakes... Hmm no, i dont think so. Actually at first i also thought i was from the brakes. But i took a closer look and noticed the sound came from the rear only. The sound actually sounds like psst eeooorrrrr, psst eeeoooorrr, psst psst tsuiiii, totally different from air escaping form the brakes. Not convincing enough. SBST is indeed more cheapskate actually. Maybe you have not tried enough SBST.
