I remembered seeing a Nissan OAC cameoing on service 700, 963 and 970 somewhere in year 2003
Also remembered that before year 2005, WL use Nissan cameos very frequently on services 75, 167, 178, 187, 961 and perm buses on 981. There was also one time in 3rd quarter of 2004 where service 980 also had Nissan buses from WL too.
Somehow in beginning year 2005, the above listed CBD services (like 75, 167 and 961) seemed to have stopped using Nissan cameos . 187and 981 remained the same situation whereas 178 seemed to have more Nissan buses instead - with a mixture of OAC and CAC.
The CACs were also introduced on Bt Panjang feeders 920 and 921 in Nov 2004 , and then withdrawn on Feb 2006 . Service 980 also had 3 Nissan CAC buses last year between March to June 2006 when some duties from AMK were transferred to WL for a short period of time.
The WL Nissan buses are currently still mainly on 178 (about 3/4 fleet), 187 (mainly cameos), 981 (full fleet of 3 buses) and 980 (split shift timing only - once a while having Merz or Scania cameos
). -

Yes, SMRT actually pulled out some Merz from other services to serve 950. The situation after 950 was introduced:-
167 - TIB658K, TIB665P and TIB673R were initially transferred over from 980 in Sep 2004 to make up for the Merz being transferred to 950. When 980 later revert back to partial control under WL, the above-mentioned Scanias were reverted back to serve 980. TIB645Y, TIB647S and TIB649L from 178 were then used instead.
980 - (refer below, situation too complicated
)
178 - Not affected much initially until most of its Scanias were transferred over to serve other services, then the Nissans replaced the Scanias instead.
920/921 - After WL had 6 CAC Nissans under their control, the CAC Nissans then began to cameo daily on these 2 Bt Panjang feeders from Nov 2004. This deployment had stopped after Feb 2006.
Situation of service 980 after 950 was introduced:-
TIB565U (SS) TIB658K, TIB665P, TIB666L, TIB672T and TIB673R were WL 980 perm buses before Sep 2004.
Sep 2004 - With the introduction of service 950, all the WL controlled duties were transferred to AMK, making 980 fully controlled under AMK.
Spare buses TIB914X, TIB916R, TIB917M, TIB928G, TIB929D and newly registered TIB1257C were used as perm buses. Ex-CSS Nissan CAC buses TIB1251T-TIB1256E were introduced to AMK and began cameoing on AMK controlled services.
Oct 2004 - WL took back over the control of 3 duties from AMK when 3 of its AMK spare Nissan CAC buses TIB1251T-TIB1253M were transferred over to WL. Service 980 initially used these 3 Nissan buses as perm buses till TIB658K, TIB665P and TIB673R came back to serve as 980 again. (TIB914X, TIB928G and TIB929D were withdrawn and reverted to AMK spares)
Mar 2005 - AMK transferred all the CAC Nissans to WL. As such, WL took over the control of another 3 duties from AMK. TIB1254K-TIB1256E were then made perm buses on 980. (TIB916R, TIB917M and TIB1257C were withdrawn and reverted to AMK spares).
June 2005 - WL transferred TIB1255H and TIB1256E back to AMK and also transferred 2 of 980's duties over to AMK. TIB1255H and TIB1256E were then replaced by TIB929D and TIB1257C by AMK and then made as AMK spares. TIB1254K continued to serve 980 as split shift service under WL.
It seems that all the Nissan CAC buses were reshuffled between AMK and WL w.r.t. how many 980 buses were under control by these 2 depots -
saw TIB365E cameoing on svc 854 today. saw it along Hougang Ave 2.
