I'd rather have sliding doors on a van. Nissan good or not? Nissans look like they were made in Bangledash, for the Chinaman to go to India fight for job. And then bus riots happen. Result of this - a horrible bus. Even MK II beats it BADLY.

For your info, I have been to Japan cities and noticed similar types of Nissan/Hino buses (also with sliding doors) operating on the roads. The only difference is that the entrance is the sliding door and the exit is the front door. That means passengers enter thru the sliding door and gets off thru the front door. I think those Nissans tat were born together with the Leyland NAC DDs were the NAC Nissan U31 SCNs (TIB251A to TIB336P). The current OAC/CAC Nissan U31 RCNs with the EDS Destos were actually born only in 1993, still got another 2 years to become 15 yrs old.
Anyway, I will rather all the Nissans to be phased out ASAP. -
O i remember taking these buses. I cannot wait for SBS's scanias ( Clear windows) XX series and the nissan diesel buses to get off the roads . Such freaking lousy buses , I am bemused whenever I have to take them on main trunk services . Phase out all the Nissans, including the CSS Buses
Then transfer some of the Scanias over to CSS to make up for the Nissans -

my last time taking a nissan was on S608 last yr in... august? shall take another time nearing its retirement.
the OAC and CAC Scanias can easily stay on our roads for another, i give, 5 yrs. but all you need are bus drivers who are willing to speed like SMRT's bus drivers to truly bring out the power in the Scanias. they are capable of speeding. just that SBST's bus drivers.. i dono what to say ah.. -
I presume you refering to SBST's scanias ? O please spare us the torture . I am living at Telok Kurah and have to take the lousy scanias on Svc 33. what is OAC and CAC ? That bus can go to scrapyard . Speeding ? If I am not wrong the buses can only go up to 60km , right ? OAC is original air-con. SBS31L-SBS80U.
CAC is converted air-con. initially, they were non-airconditioned. SBS3581X, SBS3628X, SBS3639P-SBS3722G.
okay maybe not speeding. but accelerating quickly.
to me, if SBST has to send buses to the scrapyard, it should be the MK3s! so slow and the sound.. it's as if there are crickets in the engine for some buses. -

hmm, how come SMRT's o4o5 are equipt with VDO speed limiter yet can travel beyond 60km/h? i swear most of the time it travels at 70-80km/h...
and at least the SMRT o4o5, the driver can control the temperature...DaFs as well...saw before...
