As in 3/4 of 179 LOs.Originally posted by SBS3625D:3/4?? That's an exaggeration.
Ofcourse wad Powered by Cummins. Engine also used in some american semi trailer.Originally posted by service_238:The SBST CAC Merz aircon never let me down before.. or at least 90% of the time
As for the 179 LOs I attribute that to the hilly terrain of NTU, the short running time the driver has, and the passenger load on the bus. I find the 179 LOs are good work horses, although they may have overworked la..
And also used in many diesel powered trains!Originally posted by XTransbus:Ofcourse wad Powered by Cummins. Engine also used in some american semi trailer.

Does the demand really really good until they really need to put more buses for 502A?Originally posted by chickenlittle2:The traffic condition in Jurong West/East is really bad. I think 502A can be started at a selective timing. It is to have about 3 normal 502 then 1 502A. If not they got to really increase the frequency, it would be dangerous having a full loaded bus travelling in the expressway and in a high speed.
No. Morning peak 502A is only almost fully seated, sometimes with a couple of people standing, both morning & evening peaks; while 502B is as packed as sardine.Originally posted by SBS 233 X:Does the demand really really good until they really need to put more buses for 502A?
That's a detour with additional few stops & traffic light junctions...I don't call it 'cutting short'.Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Let 502A to exit at jurong west ave (The canal ). This would greatly decrease the timing to jurong west for about 20%. Only this would reduce the crowd and cut the time short for people staying in Pioneer Rd.
I think maybe not the canal, but 502 should exit at the new junction before the canal. Then, you'll skip less stops (Chevrons & IMM) and it'll be a bit faster as there are less traffic lights.Originally posted by chickenlittle2:ISomeone even confronted the driver that he was late. The driver answered him that he do not know as he only follow the schedule. Let 502A to exit at jurong west ave (The canal ).
