Sorry, I think they had maintained it. SBS 482T is very good now. You want to try the best bus from SLBP? Try taking SBS 3733A in svc 502. Wa.. I really lovin it! Gd air condition, no sticky gear problem and when it speed at PIE, it's speeding sound was quiet. Still got the Pss pss sound when braking. Like got ABS system equppied. Compared to SBS 432M, which also had the serious jerking problem. Today, I saw someone vomitted in svc 502. As the driver driving skills sucks too. He keep on stepping and releasing the accelerator. Already the bus was having a jerking problem, still the stupid driver still drive like that. The armrest on SBS 3685E on service 225W kept tilting sideways. It's from the front right hand side seat and I couldn't get a grip on myself when I sit on the seats and the armrest start tilting.
SBS 3671U is even worse! No armrest attached to the front left side seat. No wonder why it put as spare in BNDEP! -

BNDEP maintenance is pretty BAD the VSOs bein tortured... ARBP, BBDEP maint not bad... best still is HGDEP and BRAM/AMKDEP... but SMRTs Kranji depot is really doing a good job... hafta admit SMRT:wldep buses are really quiet esp MB0405 Mercedes like 441T, 444K, 478M...

i want to complaint 147 always nvn come on time during morning peak working hour .. sometimes once u miss it .. need to wait 15min ....
sometimes 2 or 3 buses come at the same time .. once u miss it .. gd luck to you -
Last night was SBS962A on 147 that I took, HG 62. Quite slow at times, the fastest was only when it was going downhill at Dover MRT, very usual.
No WAB my regular for the 2255-2305hrs @ Chinatown slot, haiz... -
Time to take the VSOs outta 161! The expressway is wearing them out fast. Jerk + rear heat is normal. You wanna try the 0405 cameos on 161 and 168? Better not try the rear seats if you're gonna ride out the expressway.Originally posted by chickenlittle2:OMG!! The windscreen wiper on SBS 0778R squeaks very loudly when it was activated. I remember once when I board this bus as a cameo for service 69, it was raining halfway through. But when the windscreen wiper was activated, it sqeaked so loudly that I couldn't even have a peaceful ride on the bus.
Weather condition at that time was very bad, with a heavy downpour. -
SMRT svc 911 has pretty bad timings. the waiting time can be short during peak hours but dags to something like 15mins+ if its non-peak. During rainy days you have to wait up to 30mins+ for a bus. Some secondary school students need to go back home early but cannot since the bus have poor timing

Most buses would usually pass by schools. But there is one thing I would like to complain about.
During peak hours, normal 12m buses would not suffice. The bus gets fully crowded and some inconsiderate people (maybe I'm one of them)would refuse to move to the back, thus having to waste the bus driver's energy to encourage peole to move to the back. But sometimes, it's already so full that some passengers have to wait for another bus.
Linking to this problem, the timing is bad (like what 'TIB 1049L' suggested), especially during peak hours. The more nervous people like me have to wait and wait and wait.
This situation is almost getting out of hand. Higher demands when bus passes by school but timing is bad! Someone needs to look into the situation and change it. I could not stand with people squashing with the space and almost making me breathless. Should SBS Transit buy more superlong buses like SBS 0997A to only put it at peak hours or should it also put more DD's on peak hours with high demands? -
Go study in schools with more bus services loh...
i dont think SBST would be interested in improving frequency for student services what more buy new buses. Just look at 74/151. -

My question to you would be another simple one? Why buy buses when it's only for the morning? (in the case of school-goers) Also, remember the CCL? When the CCL opens you'll be able to breathe easier, there's bound to be route amendment, and thus there will be buses freed up. If I am not wrong Service 74 has 48 buses on it (including morning CT28 cross-over.
The most interesting part? Go and see the number of DDs. They tried their best, but there is still literally nothing that can be done.
Superlong buses aren't quite suitable for Singapore's roads. That's why there's only 997A, and not other superlong buses. Besides, you will have to train BCs in driving a whole new different type of bus, I believe it isn't too worth it.
If I am not wrong to actually get a bus real full, according to the licenced carrying limit, you require 2 full rows of standing passengers and the standing pax bay be filled up. Then I'd consider that really full.
Regarding replacement of buses, I really hope SBS Transit will consider testing Citaros. You can fit a rear door, encourages people to move to the back. Agreed? -
Ya agreed. But however, the rear door wont be "stepless", there will be a small step due to the engine placement as well as due to underfloor equipment. Ya hope SBSTransit will introduce the Citaros, but i think that will go to SMRT since SMRT are Mercedes freaks.
