Coaches? Forget itOriginally posted by kuekj:there goes all the PA lances and TIB959S :p
But which company took over? And definitely they shouldn't be using coaches for the shuttle since all the recruits have very big luggage...

I prefer the Lance than the Nissan CACOriginally posted by muziq bus:Ey, ur statin the obvious...SMRT wont do such stuff...
If SMRT had wanted to do so, they would have done the same for the Nissans... Oh ya...y didn SMRT register Nissans as PA instead? If only that had happened... Charterin could be cheaper...and, kids in this forum would not complain about the Nissans that much... oh well, whoopee, more Lances to go around for everyone...
Yeah, TIB1258A, TIB1259Y, TIB1260S......Originally posted by stooper:Reregister to "TIB" just like the Nissan CSS buses?![]()

West Point is using those Scania L113CRL's.Originally posted by eX.A.K.R.:I think that they should had struck with the Lances. I know, because I had my Induction Program at Pulau Tekong not too long ago (PES E here...). Those people who have to lug those ultra-heavy SAF-issue bags will know have to climb several high steps to get on to these coach-like buses, instead of the one step on the Lances, and they will not have the option of putting it somewhere else too (still remembered that a lot of my bunkmates used that extra space at the rear of every lance as luggage space).
Maybe they should have considered using those former Airbus low-floor buses, some of which are now with some private bus company whose name I can't recall right now, while a few others are still with SBS Transit with PA plates, I believe. Those buses are low-floor, and come with dedicated luggage space. Even if SAF wanted to use cheaper coach-like buses, they should have considered using those buses whenever people book out én massé from Pulau Tekong, lugging those giantic bags...
3625D: so are the Lances back on Tekong Shuttles?Originally posted by FERRARIman:haiyahhh easy said why must hire or charter buses? aren't they soldiers?? haha.. take 5 tonner instead la.. more free liao.. juz take from MT LINE only... then juz shuttle it!
you mean RPLs? i don't think LSTs can dock at Tekong Ferry Terminal.Originally posted by ^tamago^:3625D: so are the Lances back on Tekong Shuttles?
sorry, now we no longer use LST to ship our recruits to Tekong and back, how you wan to squeeze tonners on it. and it'll take one whole hour and cost more to ferry all the tonners back to mainland.
