Hi, MS , i saw 315T back to service, so it is repaired? because still could hear those noisely engine and aircon compressor.

Actually last week I got the in house contractor in charge of the maintenance of the bus to go on a test drive. We went from SLWS to CCK on SBS315T. On both normal roads and highway and whacked the accelerator as much as possible. Then checked the bus when it's back. Confirm that the axle is noisy. But still usable. Totally no safety hazards. The sound heard is merely the axle gear teeth meshing. Though the sound is somewhat more audible compared to the rest, it is still safe to travel on the bus. As this bus is designated more towards the feeder services & considering the costs involved, I decided to give the green light to let go the bus. But I got the bus to replace the axle GL5 when it returned for preventive maintenance on Friday night.

To replace the unit will cost a lot & will definately contribute tremendously to a blown budget. We're hardly meeting our budget already. So I have a responsibility to ensure only necessary things are replaced. Necessary as in those that affects safety as top priority and no amount will be spared in view of safety.
