169 got the first 2 trial O405 Hispano's in July 2004, 425R and 426M.
TIB353P-TIB361R (NAC Hinos), TIB380K-TIB389L (CAC Hinos) and TIB390G (CAC Nissan U31 SCN) were also transferred to CSS in 1996-1997. It was re-registered to TIB290T-TIB309A.Originally posted by Apex-LW'21:TIB391D - TIB404B were sold to UK in 1997, it had never been transferred to CSS fleet.
TIB405Z - TIB424T were transferred to CSS in 1997, somewhere in 2003, DAFs were seen getting lesser on the roads. Those DAFs were hibernating at GLDEP all along after that period of 2003-2004 before it set to be retired in 2005.
See the BIH article about DAF SB220 here.
(PS: It seems that most CSS buses were adorned with advertisements and it has became tough to locate a good photograph with a bus in orange CSS livery)
From the same website, it says that the buses were Euro I, when the Euro standards were only introduced in 1992...Originally posted by 105090:this is a DAF found in TIBS colours. taken from the defunct TIBS website
Apex: you need not type this out since this does not come out from you. This was alrd stated in the Businfohub article and there is no need for you to repeat again...Originally posted by Apex-LW'21:(PS: It seems that most CSS buses were adorned with advertisements and it has became tough to locate a good photograph with a bus in orange CSS livery)
I personally doubt that, I mean the WA DAFs are of the same make and they have the same ride height as the others.Originally posted by TIB1213D:Correct me if i am wrong, it seems that the Hispano DAF has a lower ride height than the Hispano 0405? ( i mean the whole bus is closer to the ground than the 0405)
from the pictures
It should be CSS290T-CSS309A.Originally posted by TIB1018B:TIB353P-TIB361R (NAC Hinos), TIB380K-TIB389L (CAC Hinos) and TIB390G (CAC Nissan U31 SCN) were also transferred to CSS in 1996-1997. It was re-registered to TIB290T-TIB309A.
When TIB405Z-TIB424T were re-registered to CSS270B-CSS289Z in 1996, most of its CSS routes were converted to PAC. Remembered tat service 605 got its DAF fleets in late 1996, followed by 602 and 607. 603 used mainly Hino and Nissan CACs, but had a DAF cameo before.Don't forget that in late 1996, CSS haven't renumbered it to 602, 603, 607 yet. btw, I thought I read it from other sources that PAC conversion was started from CSS 5 than to CSS 7 & CSS 2?
maybe the suspension has weaken and thus, the lower impression?Originally posted by SBS3625D:I personally doubt that, I mean the WA DAFs are of the same make and they have the same ride height as the others.
