i always thought it'd be good to have a link along CCK Way (via Kranji Camp) and Sungei Kadut Ind Est.
but someone ever told me Sungei Kadut is badly linked as compared to Jurong/Tuas area because the land at Sungei Kadut are mostly owned by private developers while Jurong/Tuas are owned by JTC. That's why public bus operators are reluctant to provide adequate bus svc to Sungei kadut area. -

I guess merging of 284 and 285 seems good with Clementi Ave 4 residents can link to West Coast area with ease and also to the Pandan Loop Industrial area.
Also, this can maximise SBST bus resources and offer a much better service -
