Advantages:
1. Links residents of several places together, most notably Sengkang, Hougang and many others.
2. An additonal supplement of the current Service 64 which is the only service to stop at Sims Place Terminal.
Disadvantages:
1. Heavy route duplication.
Significant Note(s):
1. The extended route of Service 87 on leg 1 heading Southwards to Sims Place Terminal does not go to Bedok Interchange, reason being that others can take the MRT or any other bus services to Aljunied and transfer from there.
2. The extended route of Service 87 on leg 2 heading Northwards to Sengkang will stop at Bedok Interchange to drop off and pick up passengers.[/b]
Furthermore, I feel that it's 'weird' to make a big loop at Kaki Bukit/Chai Chee just to get back at Eunos to head to Sims Place.
Personally, I think it would be better to have a link between Kaki Bukit/Bedok Reservoir with Marine Parade/Upp East Coast Rd. -

For your second suggestion, there is a reason why I suggested of the service to make a big loop at Kaki Bukit/Chai Chee.
a) At Bedok North Road, there is a small road (Chai Chee Street) that links to the main Chai Chee Street if you're coming in from the East. However, if it's coming in from North (Tampines Avenue 10), there's no way that the drivers could turn into the small road that I mentioned earlier. Drivers had to either do a three point turn at Bedok North Road (Bedok North Avenue 1) or turn at Bedok North Avenue 1 and then turn back in to Chai Chee Street to continue the journey.
b) Notice that route duplication would be heavy if I just make this service continue on Bedok North Avenue 1 to New Upper Changi Road? That's why I suggested that the service should turn into Chai Chee Road. Also, if you want a short and direct way of getting from Bedok Interchange to say, the bus stop at Chai Chee Drive, it's better to have a direct way.
However, the route duplication will be heavy once the service turns into Changi Road. There's no way the service could go to Siglap Road if it wants to fully utilise the DDs.
As for your last suggestion, good point there. However, again there's route duplication since Service 16 and 197 ply Marine Parade Road (not sure whether Service 16 does that). But I will think about your suggestion and make necessary changes if there are any or are required.
So, in summary, the things that I would do are:
a) Either realter the service to make it ply the suggested route that you have suggested, or
b) Introduce a new mid-haul service that will ply from Bedok to Sims Place through Marine Parade (especially calling at the bus stops where the former CSS 608 will call at). -

Originally, the reason why SBST introduces 112 and 113 is to provide direct links from residents residing in former 321, 322, 326, 327 areas to Kovan. If you look at Transitlink Bus Guides 2007, even the fare stages are adjusted accordingly to the fares that was previously before there was still (321, 322, 326, 327). -

However, I noticed that you have made one big round to CCK first before going to Bukit Batok. CCK has 187 to bring them to Bukit Batok. If not, they can take 180 to Bukit Batok West, at Bukit Batok Rd (Walk).
Bedok already has 67 to bring them to CCK though journey is very long.
One thing unique from this service is that it provides a direct link from Upper Serangoon to Bukit Timah though there is 153 that covers up till the junction between Bukit Timah Rd and Farrer Rd.
It provides a direct link from Upper Serangoon to CCK and Bukit Batok.
In short, the advantages of this service are it makes CCK and Tampines North a more accessible place as it provides direct links from CCK, Bukit Batok to Upper Serangoon Rd and also Tampines Ave 10.
However, the disadvantage of this service is it makes one big round to CCK then to Bukit Batok such that I guess very few people will be willing to part with their time to trvel from Bedok to Bukit Batok West even though it is a direct service. -

This service provides a direct link for residents to go from AMK or Pasir Ris to Tampines Rd which is only currently served by 72 only.
However, this service duplicates a lot with service 53 from Pasir Ris to AMK Ave 1 just that it uses Old Tampines Rd instead of TPE and Upper Serangoon Rd instead of going into Lor Ah Soo.
In short, I feel the purpose of this service is to relieve service 53 loads. -
In conjunction with the government Punggol 21 project, I have made new or amended bus services to Punggol.

Doesn't this duplicate 83 too much. Anyway, i believe long haul trunk services like 74, 140 should not make such a big loop. It will take maybe an extra 10 mins to cover the distance. 132 can be route to punggol but not 165 IMO.
many people take 165's shoter route to HG Mall. -
