New fantasy route created. Service 198 will be extended at Soon Lee Bus park instead of Boon Lay.
This new fantasy trunk service 198 can provide links to the areas where only feeder service 243 plies to places like Jurong East/West Ave 1. Hence, time is saved to transfer buses at Boon lay interchange.
In addition, it also provides links to other areas like Jurong East Central or Kent Ridge from Jurong West.
It is a good suggestion but bet JW st 61 to St 75 like a bit going a big round.
I do feel that there is a need to replan Boon Lay feeders
240: Another service, 30M can be created such that it loops at Taman Jurong, without affecting 240, need not have any crossover to parent service, 30, means operational wise, its one service by itself.
242:
Jurong West St 64, Av 4, St 72, Av 5, Pioneer Rd Nth, St 91, and return via St 92, St 91, Pioneer rd North, Av 5, St 72, Av 4, St 64
Passengers who need to go to Jln Boon Lay can take 99
New Service 245 (choose the number):
Jurong West St 64, Boon Lay Way, Upp Jurong Rd, St 93, St 92, St 91 and return via St 93, Upp Jurong Rd, Boon Lay Way, St 64.
Alleviate loads of 242, marginally faster.
243 can be cut into 2 services
243: Jurong West St 64, St 75, St 81, Av 5 Pioneer Rd North and return via Av4, St 71 , St 81, St 75, St 64
244: Jurong West, St 64, St 62, St 61, St 71, Av 5 and return via Pioneer Rd North, Av 4, St 61, St 62, St 64
Bus timings should be planned properly such that 243 and 244 meet at the Av 5 bus stop such that passengers can transfer without ease, free transfer is needed
A slight stop at the bus stop is needed for people to transfer from one bus to another for about half a min, like what the MRT used to be, North South line wait for East West line passengers to board before leaving the station, nobody should lose out significantly as it is only a 1/2 a min wait. That is then a world class transportation, where everything can be synchronised to ensure that the connection is there.

I agree with your amended svc 242. not many ppl at jln boon lay take 242. they can just take 99 instead.
with regards to svc 243 & 244, that means if a passenger wants to go to st 81 from st 62, they can transfer to svc 243 from svc 244 ? not bad actually
My gut feeling tells that when pioneer station is opened, one of the feeders will be amended or new feeder will introduce. so the route will be something like this:
st 64, st 63, pioneer rd nth, st 91, st 92 and return back to st 91, pioneer rd nth,st 63, st 64
OR
st 64, st 63, upp jrg rd, st 93, st 91, st 92 & back to st 91, st 93, upp jrg rd, st 63, st 64
The purpose here is to serve st 91,st 92 residence to nearest MRT, which is pioneer station instead of BNL...

The suggestion for 242 and 245 are good. 245 provides a faster link between Boon Lay and St 91 and St 92. However, for 243 and 244's suggestion to be good, I guess we have to wait until LTA implements a new distance related fare system in the future. Or else, transfer will cost more for the commuters to travel within the town Boon Lay itself. I guess environmental factors such as congestion and timings of traffic lights can adversely affect more in terms of the seamless connection between buses as compared to trains.
What about this:

That is exactly like the old 243, before they split into G & W.

Provides links from Toa Payoh interchange to Bukit Timah (157), to Clementi Rd (151, 154 at Jalan Toa Payoh), to Clementi, a little bit of coverage at Jurong East Ave 1.
Route mainly duplicates 154 at the start till Clementi. However, this service provides a fast link from Jurong West St 71/72 to Clementi and provides a link to Joo Koon.

Seriously its very hard to say ![]()
This route suggestion is a minor route amendment to the current service 963.

It will ply Clementi MRT from Commonwealth Ave West then Clementi Rd then AYE instead of going to Clementi Ave 6 then AYE. Provides a link from Clementi to Woodlands. In addition, it provides an alternative service to Harbourfront from Clementi. Besides, this will reduce duplication with service 188.

or anyone can suggest a shorter & better route , ideally less than 1hr journey
Something for all the people here to ponder about.
Service 35M
Plys the same route as Service 35 but will ply via Changi Coast Walk to go to NSRCC Sea Sports Centre and SAFRA NSRCC. This service will be a convenient link for people who would like a direct access to these two places without having to walk down Changi Coast Walk.
Service 68M
Plys the same route as Service 68 but will turn at Tampines Street 91 (after Shell Petrol Station) and thereafter, go out to Tampines Avenue 4 heading back to Tampines Interchange. This service should help to get some relief for the current Service 22 and Townlink 293 which sees full loads during after-dismissal hours.

You'll probably just need a 9 seater Hiace for your 35M for most of the time. Unless you can tell SBST the specific time when people from these clubs come out, or the clubs inform SBS of any activites they have such that an ad-hoc 35M can be deployed, it is not feasible.
Do note that Sv 68 was planned such that it serves St 90 something industrial area, and not as a service which serves the people living along the way, that explains why the frequency is not very good at times.

Ya, I am always thinking why there is no service from Boon Lay to Ang Mo Kio. Pple coming or going to this 2 directions need to take the super long distance train.

The journey very long.... But good accessiblity to Punggol/Sengkang/Hougang Connection.
Another thing : ppl will have the thinking, Better for me to take MRT to Hougang/Kovan transfer to 80 to get to Upper Paya Lebar Rd and transfer to service 53.. or taking 115 from kovan city bus terminal to Hougang Ave 1.

In my opinion, route is rather circuitous but 110 is a well integrated route of services 83, 119, 113.
It improves the links most at Compassvale St to Rivervale Dr, Hougang, and Kovan plus Lor Ah Soo since this route runs quite parallel to 136 except for the Lor Ah Soo and Hougang Ave 1 part.
I am wondering whether DDs can be deployed on 110 during peak hrs if it is to replace 83, 119 and 113.
My two suggested routes for 25 and 26 plying Chai Chee Industrial Estate instead of New Upper Changi Rd.
