thats a very auspicious number. theres a reason why SBST didnt use it.

i dunwan SMRT to invade Toa Payoh. NR1 is the closest they can get.

When the IR at Marina Bay opens in 2009, it would be routed through that area, skipping Suntec City and Fullerton Hotel by travelling the whole stretch of Benjamin Sheares Bridge. i.e ECP > Sheares Ave > Central Blvd > Cross St, and then continue on the original route.
Firstly, this service would serve as an alternative to the Changi Point Chalets, together with 29. Also, it provides an alternative from Marine Parade to the CBD, sort of like Svc 36 and 196 intergrated together for the Marine Parade - CBD section. Furthermore, it will provide a link between Kent Ridge, Alexandra Rd, Havelock Rd area and the CBD.
Extensiion of SMRT svc 950 to Yishun
It would not call at WRI anymore, instead calling at W'lands Civic Centre and continues as follows:
W'lands Ave 2
SLE
Mandai Ave
Sembawang Rd
Yishun Ave 5
Yishun Int
This will help provide an alternative link between Yishun and W'lands, and Yishun residents can have a direct link to JB with this extension.

I think it is a best idea to extend Svc 950 to Yishun. So that ppl from AMK/Bishan/TP can take the train to yishun instead of Woodlands but the frequency I hope could be improved...

I think that buses that are going to Suntec City through Temasek Avenue should turn to Raffels Boulevard passing by Marnia Centre Terminal then Raffles Avenue (Singapore Flyer) because due to the opening of the Singapore Flyer, people from Singapore Flyer can take their own bus home and people from Suntec City can go to Singapore Flyer by taking these buses rather than walking distance. Should you all agree?
Service No. 36,70,97,111,133 and 162
These are only buses that loop at Suntec City.
1. Loop 56 at Suntec City like 162M and 97.
2. Extend 195 to Geylang Lor 1 via ECP, fort rd, Mountbatten Road, you noe the rest.
3. 56 is way too short. Can be extended to Ang Mo Kio, creating a direct link between Toa Payoh MRT Station and Ang Mo Kio MRT Station.
4. Change a few Upp Serangoon buses like 107 and 153 to Serangoon Central -> Boundary Road as part of serving Serangoon MRT
5. Let 105 and a few other buses call at Serangoon Station
6. Change 57 to Telok Blangah Rd -> Henderson Road instead of Telok Blangah Rd -> Alexandra Rd -> Depot Rd -> Henderson Rd
7. Change 105 and 132 to Scotts Road.

3. It would not be advisable to extend 56 to Ang Mo Kio. There are already a few links from Toa Payoh MRT and Ang Mo Kio MRT eg. 73, 88, 159 of which 88 is fairly direct. 56 covers the entire stretch of Bishan St 11 and 13 and would have to make a big round to get back to Bishan Rd ie. via Bishan St 14. (Bishan Rd (Raffles Institution!), Bishan St 11, Bishan St 13, Bishan St 14 and Bishan Rd again) Due to this, the demand from Toa Payoh MRT to Ang Mo Kio MRT would not be great. I myself would prefer to take 88. Furthermore, there's 133 from Ang Mo Kio to Marina Centre.
4. 107 and 153 serve Serangoon MRT along Upp Serangoon Rd. There isn't a need to reroute them.
5. 105 and "other buses" call at Serangoon MRT since they terminate at Serangoon Int.
7. I dun get what you mean. Don't 105 and 132 call at Scotts Rd?
8. Err.. seems to duplicate 174.. though it is a good idea. :D
9. There isn't really a need.. the buses get fairly empty after Toa Payoh and 56's main sector of demand is from Toa Payoh - Marina Centre.

OK.
5. Serangoon MRT station's bus stop at B03/B04 Serangoon Central. Currently 105 skips that stop and runs into the int.
7. Use Thomson Rd -> Scotts Rd

1. I dont mind
2. Maybe when Marina Centre Terminal close down
3. crap. Just keep it as it is.
4. another crap. Do you know 107 and 153 are the only 2 services that run straight from Lor Lew Lian to the Serangoon MRT bus stop?!
5. It will be possible with the new integrated Serangoon Int when CCL is up
6. Please find out why the route was designed as such in the first place. Its as good as changing S123's route to become S275.
7. crap. I dont want another 700 thank you very much
8. justify your service, other than it will be beneficial to you
9. no point. just add one more downroute to Bishan will do
Originally posted by jayh272416:7. Use Thomson Rd -> Scotts Rd
CJC students like that dont need to go Orchard already
RGS students no need to go Toa Payoh already.
people taking classes at YWCA there only either go west or go town.
I think that service 56 should be starts from Bishan to Shenton Way and Service 195 should starts from Clementi to Marina Centre (Loop). Then the Marina Centre terminal was control by SMRT only.
For Service 123, it should starts from Bukit Merah Interchange to Geylang Lorong 1 Terminal. Thats should be the way.

56 can loop/Shenton Way/whatever you want. But a clementi-Marina Center 195 will not be possible because of Commonwealth Dr.
Unless they can have some Bt Merah to Commonwealth Dr feeder, the 195 change can't happen.
And heres a new rt suggestion.

Also, "jumble up" the services that ply Stevens/Scotts Rd. For example, 54 can go by Stevens Rd instead of via Scotts Rd, and 132 can use Scotts Rd instead. This will then allow Scotts Rd commuters to go to Orchard Blvd (west of paterson rd) and allow Stevens Rd commuters to travel directly to Paterson Hill.

Impossible....The former Svc 24A all used single deck...but still cannot use DDs on Airport buses...

If it will not enter the tunnel, why can't DDs be used? anyway, what do you think of CGA? Non friendly to DD, K230UB bumper, worse still bendies also cannot.
Does anyone think 168 should be an express service? It runs through the highway to woodlands and therefore, so few stops from Bedok to Woodlands.
For Service 150 - Ang Mo Kio to Johor Bahru (Larkin), Larkin terminal in Johor Bahru can fill more buses anymore because the terminal is big and only Singapore Buses 170 and SJE can entered there only. That terminal is packed and filled with Malaysia Inter-States Buses. There's a huge number of buses.
For the new service starts from Boon Lay Interchange to Habourfront, there's service no. 30 so why need to make duplicate stops where there's service 30 pass by there.
Service 35 - Bedok to Changi Village
After Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, the bus will go to Changi Coast Road,Nicoll Drive,Telok Paku Rd,Changi Village Terminal

What's the purpose of 24 buses not entering CGA? It's an airport service.

To serve the majority who will be alighting before CGA, just like 27A
