Think no NTU student would want to take this service from JE int to NTU and it would be better if you could shorten this service to CCK Int instead

Impossible for this service to be operated by SBST since it passesby more than 1 SMRT controlled towns. also i dun see the needs of extending 138 to JE with services like 176, 187, 188 etc
Originally posted by SBS8112J:I say cannot.you know why?
- you are using too much bus stops that the people taking 138 would be lesser commuters
- using this will cause SZG Terminal to belong to SMRT
- no more express routes
that's why!
nonsense. links jurong east to the zoo and steal SMRT customers along the way. alot of people from bukit batok go Jurong East and IMM. the zoo terminal is not used by SMRT. it is jus a bus stop used as a looping point. have you seen Singa pore Zoological Gardens Terminal on the Transitlink Guide of 926, 927. its jus passes it as a stop. u sure no more express routes? what about the recent premium and cityshopper services? the new 45, 175 and 185 does use a small portion of the expressway. 138 should use also.

although its a clear intrusion of SMRT territory. i think that rule should be abolished. that would be a well served route. 176, 187 and 188 use the west of bukit batok while this new 138 uses the east part which demand is left raw and untapped with 945 the only link in bukit gombak. bt panjang to imm linked.
people would wanna have a change from their smrt lifestyle haha.
167 can be amended to ply the following route:
Sembwang Vista
Canberra Rd
Canberra Link
Sembawang Rd (or even cutting into Yishun then Lentor Rd, then YCK)
Upp Thomson Rd
Yio Chu Kang Rd
AMK Ave 6
Marymount Road
Thomson Road (not turning into Marymount Lane like 74 and 852 but going straight)
Then plying its original route.
What do you guys think? :) Firstly, 980 is duplicating its route outright from Novena onwards. Also, there are alot of services at Upp Thomson Rd and Thomson Road that ply almost the same route at 167 (by SBS and even to the same location, Bukit Merah Int).

i can take 88 and change 167, 851, 852 to yishun ![]()
dun mind
I think we should have an Express service to go through Bedok Neighbourhood and then go onto PIE then go to Choa Chu Kang and go through Bukit Panjang Town as an alternative to LRT in Bukit Panjang Town.

Suggest changing the current 4xx services into available 2xx serivces.
Then let the 4xx services be used for "MRT duplication" svcs.

Renumbering would make commuters confused. SBST will normally try to keep a service number the same after it is introduced.

I like the idea of extending 167 into Yishun (in fact I hoped for it). It will not only enhance travel to Yishun but also increase the passenger loads for the service. For Yishun there's one two ways to get to Orchard, by the long winded 171 or the packed trains. The amended 167 will give another choice for passengers going to town.
how about a brand-new service?

Lol. Now only if SMRT's route planners read this thread ;)~ Or maybe someone free enough could write to them~!

I think the planners for both bus deployments and planners for services should look at our feedback in SGF and review it.
