MRT is always so packed on weekends so some people would not mind paying an Express fare for a seat on the Express service.

thing is how many are willing? MRT is straight from East to Chinese Garden... bus gotta get an route to Eway (AYE), make a turn to get to Yuan Ching Rd and so on...

Let me give my two cents worth of thought.
This service is good in terms of providing a fast link from Tampines Ave 7, St 41, Ave 2, Ave 7 to Jurong West Ave 1, Jurong West St 51 and Yuan Ching Rd.
However, in terms of demand, it has to be profitable for this service to be introduced.
So, some food for thought supposedly this service is introduced.
If a commuter wants to travel from,
1. Tampines Int, Ave 7, Ave 5, St 41 to Yuan Ching, Jurng West Ave 1, Yuan Ching Rd.
2. Tampines Ave 7, Ave 5, St 41 to Boon Lay or to NTU.
3. Tampines Ave 3, St 83, Bedok Reservoir to Jurong West Ave 1 or Yuan Ching Rd.
4. Pasir Ris estate to Yuan Ching Rd.
In scenario 1, I will definitely take 505 it is cheaper and faster. However, for the others, will you utilise 505 to get to your destination?
People had made all the good suggestions and requests.. but tuened out to be flops
example is City Shopper. Seems a good idea, but look at the loafds.. not more than 5 passengers per weekday trip!
Though personally I'm in for compeition w/ MRT in heavy corridor or even special morning semi express services to cushion the MRT load
