I would suggest that the route be ammended to Start from Bedok Int, follow 168 to Tampines, then up to PIE and follow your route to Jurong. This will also serve the people in Bedok.

aim is to save time to link far east with far west. was thinking of jus 2 stops along Tampines Ave 5 den express to Toa Payoh via PIE.
Tampines furthest direct link is only Kent Ridge by Service 10. For Jurong East, commuters need to make at least 1 transfer if travelling by bus.
while from Bedok, you can take 66, 197 and from outside 506 to Jurong East. or 30 to Boon Lay.
to all: feel free to comment on the route?

For me I would prefer the current route of 502 be eliminated and for 502A and 502B to be full day services.
502A can be converted into the new 502 while 502B can be converted into service 503.
For this will give the residents from Jurong West N6, 7, 8, 9 & Boon Lay Estate a shorter travelling time to town area without having to pass through Jurong East/West Ave 1 & Toh Guan area.

I think the stretch of Tampines Ave 5 from interchange to SAFRA Tamines is pampered with lots of trunk services. 10, 15, 21, 23, 39, 65, 67.
This service has only quite a handful of bus stops at Tampines, Toa Payoh. In addition, it doesn't go to Boon Lay interchange but to Jurong West town where passengers can make transfers from there to more places like NTU, NIE where service 20 doesn't cover or even the industrial estates at Jurong. I think this service has a plus point because it provides a faster link from Tampines to Toa Payoh as compared to service 8 and to Jurong West. Demand has to be heavily relied at Tampines interchange, the 2 bus stops at Toa Payoh and Jurong West areas.

Perhaps 502 is there because during off peak hrs, the demand for it is very little. Thus, SBS Transit decides to let 502 ply more estates to hopefully pick up more passengers who are willing to take an express service to Orchard Rd or to Marina Centre from Jurong. Some bus services have a high difference in loads during peak and off peak hrs. 43, 70 and 76 are examples which I know of.

yea. the main reason why it doesnt ply Boon Lay Int area. its because there are many services that link them to Boon Lay already there. it is to help people get linked from Jurong West to Lakeside Station, IMM and Toa Payoh as well as Tampines quickly. the route is also pretty straightforward
also its only 20mins from Tampines to Toa Payoh, another 20mins to Jurong East, then 10minutes to Lakeside.
it will terminate at the new Joo Koon Interchange when it commences.

If you want fast speed to airport, take MRT
Several years ago, 989 eas CCK-Airport and At 1990s, there are many more buses to airport from all parts of sg, but sincension come into place, most are withdrawn as they wanted just a monopoly.
However, 511-512, 516-517 can work out as it is quite a good idea anyway.
513 can take 859 and change to 858 which is okay as one direct is just 1 hour plus and 515 maybe just YCK and not AMK which have 24.
Lastly, I felt that all airport buses are all right as any trunk service
