and my 508 can work a lot lot more in the Toa Payoh area
Perhaps you can extend it to Bishan and AMK. Something like the Stadium Direct services, passing through more heartland areas b4 zooming to the National Stadium.
Just curious, how often do you go bird park? I think 508 should pass by nearby attactions like Science Centre too to increase demand.

I think it is unnecassary.
Buses from Bedok(17), Tampines(19) to be extended to pass by Simei ITE...
one bus(31) servicing an institution is too crazy(though they have 31A, still not enough) Not really sure about the exact routes though, but i know these two buses turn right at the junction in front of the school. If possible let 12 from pasir ris turn in opposite of the school as well(Upp Changi Rd).
Last resort suggestion...Premium bus 531 to extend into that road as well...think it's like less than 2dollars for students compared to adult fare.
Just my opinion...

24, 34, 36, 53, 858 takes too long to reach the airport!
First and foremost, I don't think that number of buses are possible due to space constrain..definitely no more space for more bus lanes.
From my experience in taking 24, the bus driver usually speeds there. Doesnt go as slow as those trunk services...
34 takes too long sometimes due to morning and evening peak hour. Jam like crazy from Punggol TPE..
I wouldnt say 36 waste time on Marine Parade...it's an essential bus to go to ECP...and for the residents there to have a connection to orchard Rd.
53 follows somewhat the same as 24 but goes to pasir ris...
Need fast to go to airport, take MRT...still not fast enough just take cab. period.

The ammendment will cause longer routes for 2 drivers and can you do not wait until double post then post again telling pple that it is double post, delete one post and aadd DOUBLE POST to that can liao.
Why not create a new service to ply Changi Coast Rd?
Service 49 - Upper East Coast to Changi Village
Upper East Coast Ter, Bedok Rd, Upp Changi Rd East, Xilin Ave, Changi Coast Rd, Nicoll Drive and Changi Village Ter
Frequency: 25-35 minutes. As for Changi Coast Rd, it will ply express except adding a pair of bus stop outside Changi Ferry Terminal.
Advantages: To provide a bus service in Changi Ferry Terminal and to provide a linkage between Changi Village and Bedok Rd, Xilin Ave etc.
Disadvantages: Does not passby any MRT stations. The nearest MRT stations would be Tanah Merah but have to get down at Bedok Road needs and walk a distance to Tanah Merah MRT.
Service 971 - CCK to Tuas
CCk Int, CCK Way, KJE, PIE, Jln Ahmad Ibrahim and Tuas Ter.
Advantages: It will bring convienences for ppl living in CCK, Bt Panjang, Woodlands, Sembawang, Yishun etc without having the need to pass through Jurong East and Boon Lay in order to change another bus to Tuas.
Express 508
Pasir Ris Int
--move around Pasir Ris and Tampaines--
ECP, AYE
Jurong Town Hall Rd
Boon Lay Way
Pioneer Road North
Jurong Pier Road
Bird Park Dr
Jln Ahmad Ibrhim
Benoi Road
Upper Jurong Road
--maybe go to SLBP and then terminate there--
Aim:
To provide a comfortable direct link from Pasir Ris/Tampaines to the Science Centre, Chinese Garden, Jurong Bird Park and Jurong Camp. Fare: $2.30

No links inside Jurong Town... Pioneer Rd Nth does not get to Bird Park in any manner
anyway again, by e time it gets to Jurong Camp ppl rather take MRT - 182

Maybe we can have links inside Jurong Town, but you will be charged non-express fare when only using the links in Jurong town. Express fare will be charged once the bus goes on the expressway.

Not bad, nut amybe ammend to ply Enous Interchange using New upper changi road and then continue on 31, 196,197 route until upper east coast road and so on and so forth, it at least serve Enous MRT and walking distance from Bedok MRT and add a longer route for SBS in order for them to earn money. more money earning chances, more possibility.
Also can have short trip 49A which run by Uper east coast road-Enous Int during morning peak to bring residents from upper east coast to MRT stations and back in PM peak.
Suggested fleet
2X Dennis Dart for 49A(AM Peak/PM Peak)
5X Scannia 113(1 NAC/2 OAC/2 CAC)
1X Mk 3 DM
for 49
