- Provide bus link for residents in Redhill area to Bukit Merah Central
- Provide proper rest area and toilet for BC
- Free up jam at Rumah Tinggi Terminal carpark, since now it is only used as a bus stop.
- Another service for Bukit Merah residents to go to the City
there's not really a need for connecting Bt Merah Int to Harbourfront Int, there's already two services plys through there. 57 & 131.
and 131 passes through Telok blangah Way to Harbourfront & there's also 124 which passes through telok blangah Way and then to kampong Bahru.
you say keep 275?, most of the time at interchange i see 275 drives through empty or doesn't pick up passengers. As 131 does the job for it.. and now 131 has few wheelchair buses already sure ppl choose wheelchair bus la. Lol! sad though., its becoming like old case of 274 between 57.

Apparently, the service was not withdrawn because residents opposed the withdrawal of 275.

oh, well i guess if the service was under smrt =x they keep it awhile and just withdraw it like what they did to 608 last time. lol No question asked.
the gov should at least 50/50 territory to SBS Transit & SMRT. SMRT conquer the west of Singapore (extend from Yishun all the way to Boon Lay) while SBS Transit conquer the East/Central of Singapore. :\
but back to topic.. i'm not shentonn clone. :) anyway, since the distance between Bt Merah and RedHill MRT station quite far. sbs should operate new service between Bt Merah and Redhill Stn ? Maybe 132M? terminate at Redhill Stn.
and i wonder why Potong Pasir town got only 1 service? low demand or?
Smrt 300 (cck) & Smrt 947 (bt batok) should combine as one trunk service. hmm maybe name it as Service 747 . Since there's new road that link between cck & bt batok area, Brickland Road. from Ave 4 to Ave 5 (circle turn/u-turn to the first busstop) , Ave 3, Brickland Road (non-stop), Bt Batok Road, Bt Batok West Ave 2, Bt Batok Central, Bt Batok Interchange.
From Bt Batok Int, Bt Batok Central, Bt Batok West Ave 2, Bt Batok Road, Brickland Road, CCK Ave 3, CCK Ave 5 (circle turn/u-turn to the second busstop) , Ave 4 and back to CCK Int.
Maybe can adjust 307 route to serve residents who stay at Ave 2. from Central Stop A, to CCK way, CCK Ave 3, CCK Ave 1 (before Sunshine Place) , CCK Ave 2 (cck primary) , CCK way (southview station), CCk Ave 3 (towards CCK Central) , CCK Central and yup continue the same route.
Smrt 747 advantages:
No need to transfer from MRT to Bus if you're from Bb to CCK or CCK to Bb. Direct Link and also serve cck and bt batok residents especially for those who hate to take the mrt during the peak hour. MRT always pack with people (NS Southbound) during peak hour. Affect bt batok,bt gombak, cck stn. So this bus is an another alternative/backup way for people to travel to cck or bt batok. Time frequency for Am/Pm off peak (15-20 mins). Am/Pm peak hour (10-15 mins). this is just my suggestion.
same as bus 60 (merged from 2 feeder bus, Eunos Int & Bedok Int)

i believe da reason y it wasnt withdrawn itz bcoz of da MP of tt area...

smrt is different de. look at how many times people complain about 190. till now people are still complaining. whatever their plan is, even public make noise, they may delay their plans for awhile but ultimately they still follow whatever they want. sbst on the other hand, they do listen to the commuters though they may not be able approve everything. sbst did not withdraw 147 due to strong protest to keep the service.

if smrt had that many buses. like that you will see many sbst spare buses sleeping in the depot and frequency for an smrt bus at 1 hour.
Potong Pasir has 1 service cos of the opposition party lor.
132A is a better name. if its for peak hours only.

If 147 was never extended from Potong Pasir Estate to Hougang New Town... I think kena withdrawn liao... how to depend on those few Potong Pasir HDB blocks in e long run w/ NEL?

Though the NEL rationalisation incident happened 4 years ago, I still wonder why 106 under SMRT is shortened from Bukit Batok - Marina Centre. Won't SMRT want to introduce competition along Upper Serangoon and Bendemeer area? Besides, before NEL is introduced, 106 has quite a gd load comparable to 22 from Serangoon to Orchard.

Welcome to sg forums in the first place,
but yck got place to house the new service or not, maybe amdep is better choice
Sorry, I never been to YCK Terminal before. Maybe Service 71 can terminate at AMK or even Toa Payoh.

I think the amendment is suggested by PTC.
Hmmm.. :)

YCK ter is at YCK MRT...AMk also no space, TPY i think also no space, maybe make it a Bishan service...i think there still have space...
Oh... Thanks! But Bishan have Service 52. Hougang and Sengkang maybe?
Originally posted by SBS n SMRT:You know what is feeder what is trunk, feeder just ply housing estates with lesser outside stop, so that bus service is a trunk not a feeder, secondly, fyi, 60 is a trunk service and the routes that are suggested to be merged sounds alright anyway, because it can be a intra-town service that collects feeder rate like yishun ones.
And somemore, harbourfront int is not like bedok, it do not have sawtooth berth, it is better to have such a two interchange loop service at places where sawtooth is available, maybe make it trunk and have two directions. and do you know that harbourfront int cannot take in more buses liao, cause no more berths available
Name is also confusing, just say Harbourfront but not vivo,
actually this is a service that operates during the time where 408 don't operate so that the bus can go in to the berth.
