Originally posted by SBS9888Y:a nice idea would be to shorten it to kent ridge.
will it be better to shorten this service further to shenton way? Total fare stage will be around 33.
49A will terminate at Kent Ridge but is available during peak hrs only.
Just a thought.
Maybe 194 can be renumbered as Parks 407?
Some route suggestions:
Svc 321 - Hougang Central to Defu Ave 1
(Two-directional Weekday peak hour services with a frequrncy of 25-30 minutes)
AM Peak: Hougang Ctrl Int, Upp Serangoon Rd, Hougang Ave 3, Tampines Rd, Defu Ave 1
PM Peak: Defu Ave 1, Tampines Rd, Hougang Ave 3, Upp Serangoon Rd, Hougang Ctrl Int.
Svc 141 - Geylang Lor 1 to Potong Pasir (Loop)
Geylang Lor 1 Ter, Sims Ave, Sims Way, Jln Kolam Ayer, Upper Serangoon Rd, Potong Pasir Ave 1, Ave 3 and Ave 2 (Loop)
And return via Upp Serangoon Rd, Jln Kolam Ayer, Sims Way, Geylang rd and Geylang Lor 1 Ter.
The purpose of this svc is to link Potong Pasir with East-West line MRT (142 links the town to North South line) and provide a service in Sims Way which is currently not plied by any services.
Svc 71 - Yio Chu Kang to Tagore Lane
Weekdays two-directional peak hour service with 20-25 minutes frequency.
Morning peak - Yio Chu Kang Ter, AMK Ave 6, YCK Rd, Upp Thomson Rd, Tagore Dr, Tagore industrial Ave, Tagore Lane
Evening Peak - Tagore Dr, Tagore Industrial Ave, Tagore Lane, Tagore Rd, Upp Thomson Rd, YCK Rd, AMK Ave 6 and Yio Chu Kang Ter.

But it will benefit alot. And some more, its only operate during the school hours. Also, Teck Whye Cresent is quite a short road. 5-10 mins from one end to the other end.

lol. Thought of this route before. However, I have dismissed the idea because in that case, it is additional duplication with service 65 from Tampines to Little India. Besides, Ubi Ave 2 doesn't have a direct bus to Bedok and have 3 bus services instead to Tampines.

Maybe you can change your suggested service number to 948? 218 is more to SBST type and SMRT owned Bt Batok Int. SMRT fav numbers are 700 to 900+ lol. cause 367,361,365 renamed to 947,941,945. SMRT style.

not that.
Examples:
1) 5. You noe why? 5 cater peak hour from orchard to bedok reservoir, simei, pasir ris.
2)576. faster and comfortable.
3)579:sama-sama
that's why no 102.
102 will be squeezed onto space.

Why merge the 2 CityShopper services?
- The cost of the premium service is quite prohibitive to most people.
- CityShopper services doesn't run during morning and evening peak hours in weekdays. Hence the office workers staying in Tampines Ave 5, 9, St 34 and Simei and working along Newton, Orchard or Suntec area will not be able to benefit from the new service since it started in Dec 07.
- Can help to alleviate the crowds taking Express 518 to Orchard. 518 demand during peak hours is always quite high. Even in saturdays and sundays, you may not be able to get in 518 when going home from Orchard.
- Can compete with SMRT's 531 for office crowds, especially since SMRT raised the fares to $4.
- Simei currently doesn't have any Express service.
Well, I hope my first suggestion would be a good one. Thanks!
unless express service can cancel those type of cards that are prohbited except SeasonPass.or else not really fair for those people going to fairs at Suntec.

NO WAY. If someone living in Tamp Ave 5/St 83/Ave 4 Area needs to take a loop around tamp before reching PIE. And those living at Ave 7 will lose their link to Orchard / Suntec if that happens.
