I don't know, but I have a funny feeling that, somehow, PTC is biased against SBS Transit, so that stupid "2 own, 1 rival" rule doesn't seem to apply to SMRT. Look at routes such as 853, 854, 855, 857, 966, 61, 67, etc... and so on. They clearly violate that rule, and yet they are still allowed to run!
It's just my feeling, but... -
I would suggest merging Svc 119 with Svc 113. Through this, there would be no loss of connections.

Most of the 85* route numbers were introduced in the '80s when then-Tibs were given complete control of the YIS sector (save for 171). There wasnt such rules when 854 was launched at that time yet. the only newest feeder is 372, or "townlink" 265.
235 and 231 can also be withdrawn with simple rerouting of some Toa Payoh Int services.. already, 57 and 59 can provide alternatives to 231 to Lorong 6

Service 168 can extend the route so that they can pass by at least a hospital and then 168 can get WAB's?
