  TIB 1257 C was formerly CSS 310 U, a permer of service 608.

  Well, the problem with front engined buses is that the engine is physically inside the bus. A metal or fibreglass cover is all there are to keep out the noise and heat, which is, of course, inadequate. The Hawke bodied OF1417 had an insulation cover for the engine hatch. It was brown and had diamond shaped stitches all over.

  If I am not wrong, all these NOISY Albion Viking buses are mainly based on Bt Merah, Buona Vista, Bt Batok, CCK, Hougang and all eastern area services. I normally used to avoid these areas in the past as I am "afraid" to come along these buses
  
  Areas like Kent Ridge, Jurong East, Boon Lay, Toa Payoh and other northern areas have the MB OF1413s which the engine is much more quieter or "friender".
