LOL... Then SMRT will cut the door opening bigger, then install 5th hand manual doors. At the driver's place, got a rope. Must pull the rope to pull open the door. SMRT should sell away their CAC to Ireland instead. Why they dont have $$$ to upgrade their bus rite uh? They just sell their CSS Dafs last year oni. Where they spent the $$ on? REBRANDING THOSE CACs??? or even rebrand more of them.

DAFs to me seems to be better than Nissan leh...They should retain the DAFs and sell Nissans away...(since u ppl hate it so much...)
DAF just look like Mercs Benz 0405G/Hispano Carocera...people might not know it is DAF, if you try to repair part of it and probably repaint the inside. -

SMRT haven't got any new buses. If they sell all the CAC, then what are you going to ride? And do you think they make money selling away the DAF? How much are you willing to pay for a battered old bus? Even if scrap also will not get much money. Please don't post following what your heart desire. We know you're dissatisfied with SMRT Buses and you have proven it in your posts many times. Hmm , First of all , There are a lot of Nissan Haters here , I don't really understand why but its just too bad that they will be here for another 3-4 years time. Anyway , if anyone doesn't like the Nissan just beause they look old and cheapskate , you might as well wait for the next one or take a taxi if u in a hurry.

It's not like the service is free of charge... If the ride is free, then ok, fine, we won't complain since it's free anyway... I rather spend the same amount of money to travel on Merz Habits or Volgrens, or even SBST's VSOs, Tridants, CNGs, B9TLs or even B10TLs.
At least CSS service 608 fares are cheaper with full fleet of Nissans -

We, as in bus fans, yes. The general public doesn't even care if its a Nissan or a Merc. As long as the bus come, its OK. We pay money to get ourself from Point A to Point B. You have the option of not taking the Nissans. If don't have, then too bad. You can't win them all. Nissan haters? More like too pampered. They're lucky the RCN are the last of its kind and are going to retire soon. If they were living when I was a kid, a time when TIBS had 100% Hino and Nissan buses, I think they would've appreciate the buses. Well , i do like old buses .... as long as they are still alive , we can have a chance to board them before they are retire , i would love to ride those Nissan (be it OAC or CAC) Especially the bumpy rides , etc...

Spoken like a true bus enthusiast. That's the spirit! Old bus, new bus, noisy bus, quiet bus, as an enthusiast, we should appreciate, not condemn. You may have a preference or a distaste to a particular bus, that is your opinion. You are free to your own opinion. But do not express in such a way that will tarnish the image of the bus, not to mention the image of our operators, and eventually the image of the Singapore Bus Enthusiast. Bear in mind that while you hate a bus model, there are others who like them. However, the thing about the front-engined bus models from the past is that they were noisy. I used to find the sound from the Leyland Viking engine rather frightening, and thought it would make me deaf.

It's okay to dislike but to a certain limit not extreme.
I don't quite like the Nissan cause of its exterior,Nothing else -
Keep the Nissan. They are NICE to ride on. Especially on S 608. I cannot imagine S 608 with Dennis or Mercz Fleet after the Nissan are gone.
