Scania OAC / CAC / NAC: Rocks!!
MK II NAC / CAC: Ok!
MK III: Ok!
MK IV: Ok!
Nissan OAC / CAC : Ok!
Mercedes OAC / CAC (Execpt a selected few): NOT Ok!.
There done. My most favourite and most hated model.

But I still don't understand why they put the rear desto in the front? Broken rear desto holder? I see some with the rear desto holder present, but yet, still put the rear desto in the windscreen. -

Normally I have seen those Woodlands operated Nissans placing their rear destos in the front left windscreen. AMK Nissans still place them on the holders behind.
For your info, I also noticed that one of the AMK services 980 --> the driver also places the desto in front too

those UGLY CAC NISSANS from woodlands still cameoing on svc 980 for WEEKS, I wanna all those OAC SCANIAS to be back
why is SMRT woodlands biased against 980
PS: at least AMK side had several bendies on 980

980 controlled by 2 depots: AMK and Woodlands.
Comparing between AMK and Woodlands, I feel that AMK treats service 980 with more respect by deploying newer buses like Merz Volgren and also Merz Habits to cater for the higher demand on Sundays/Public Holidays. Whereas Woodlands nowdays only dump those massive CAC Nissans on service 980 7 days a week regardless of how the demand is. The MB0405s and Habits from Woodlands come out on service 980 only once in a blue moon.
Also to add on, Woodlands depot is showing favourtism to services 857 and 969 by giving them more bendies during weekends. I remember service 980 durinng the Tibs days used to have lots of bendy buses from Woodlands too, but not at all now. In fact, the Woodlands deployment on 980 have deproved over the years especially with the redeployment of the CAC Nissans on 980.
In fact, I still don't understand why the SMRT is doing this to service 178 and 980. Till then I am still looking forward to see the return of TIB658K, TIB665P and TIB673R on 980... -

SMRT buses also do this. 1688K there were photos on the BC doing this. -

IMO, the desto infront is to let passenger to see easier as the EDS was too small. BC may also want passenger to flag the bus early. -
Service 980 seems to have their original Scanias back recently, now the Nissans have seemed to flood up more on service 178 instead

IMO, for now, count yourself damn lucky if you spotted any Scanias on S178.. For every weekdays when i go to school in Woodlands, all i saw for S178 was Nissans..
