integration of 921 with 700 and 700A

i was waiting at the bus stop opposite far east plaza for smrt167 when i came across this notice .921 will be merge with 700 and 700A.700 and 700A will no longer ply bukit panjang rd.instead it will ply petir rd and dairy farm rd before turning into the bke.

To better serve the residents of Bukit Panjang Town, services 700 & 700A will be amended to replace service 921, and will ply via Pending Road and the new Petir Rd extension from 18 June 2006 (Sunday). As such, services 700 & 700A will no longer call at the 2 bus stops along Bukit Panjang Road. Please refer to the map below for more details. We regret any inconvenience caused.

My draft is; "Wonder more people will take svc 700/700A or svc 190 to Orchard", then I changed it as I remember amended svc 700/700A uses the same bus stop as svc 960 along Petir Rd.

I feel that service 700 should renumber to service 97x (Bt Panjang series)

At last.. 700 gets to stop at Petir Road.But they should just have it travel from the terminal exit into Petir Road, instead of turning in from Pending Road..

from what i predict, bt panjang residnets going to orchard will take 700. load on 190 will slightly lessen. why? new route 700 stops along LRT stations which mean easier transfer for Bt Panjang residents who use lrt whereas 190 does not stop anywhere near an LRT station. so, 700 should have a slightly increased load while 190 will slightly lessen.

No one in Bt Panjang, with a right state of minds will take Sv 171 to Orchard, because of longer time and journey. -

I live in Dairy Farm Estate, it's kinda long to walk up all the way there
And are there bus stops built on Hume Ave?
