wah seh~ another speculation row over which service will use it ah... hmmm...Originally posted by stooper:Being built...
Hmmm actually service 700 mainly serves the people who goes to Shenton Way/Collyer Quay to work every weekday and Saturday. If this 921/700 merger is going to start come 18 June 2006, i believe it will affect the residents staying around Blk 270 that area (the bus stop before the BKE) very much as in after the merger, they have to walk all the way to Petir Rd bus stops and board service 700. That will cause a lot of inconviences to them. Unless they have a service 190B which goes to Shenton Way instead of Chinatown to cover up the loss of the links from Bt Panjang Rd (Blk 270) to Shenton Way.Originally posted by sbst275:From what I see, those along Bt Panjang Rd would unlikely take 700, all will go to 190
700, unless it's those older flats residents
If they don't want to walk, they could take Sv190/960 to Whitley Rd and change to 700, which will cost a bit more.Originally posted by TIB1062Y:Hmmm actually service 700 mainly serves the people who goes to Shenton Way/Collyer Quay to work every weekday and Saturday. BTL may not be built.Originally posted by iveco:171 may well be shortened to YIS-BPJ when BTL becomes operational.
it will, the land is already being set aside and the interchange will be at millenia.Originally posted by muziq bus:BTL may not be built.
Aiyah, they do things bef hand deOriginally posted by ^tamago^:it will, the land is already being set aside and the interchange will be at millenia.
it's just a matter of when, and of cos to discuss the fate of 171 is a bit far-fetched cos it may be amended for other reasons even before BTL starts.
they need to acquire the land for DTSS and overrun land.Originally posted by sbst275:Aiyah, they do things bef hand de
See that Jackson Kopitiam, 1996 govt accquire the land because of NEL, till now 10 years, nothing happened
Sometimes thinking abt it, the ppl inside LTA prefers MRT over buses, no wonder the NSL/ EWL prob is coming... A Full MRT system replacing trunk buses totally is up to no good, other than the big amt of investment, commuters would end up making unecessary transfers
