no eating and drinking in bus

should sbst/smrt really implement this. Ok, i understand that eating is totally a NoNo. but drinks like 'slurpee' is not allowed? If packet drinks from coffeeshop cannot lah cos can spill easily but what if the drinks are stored in anti spill containers? and is bus drivers prohobit passengers from entering their bus with a cup of drink with cover and can be only drinked through a straw? i had seen some drivers do that. and what if the the passengers don't drink but only just hold on to his drink and only drink after alighting and was they are not allowed to enter the bus ? Discuss it ppl. This is more of drinks not food.

Actually there is a law/warning reminding passengers that eating and drinking is not allowed onboard buses; and should they (the "offenders" ) be caught, they may have to face a fine or Corrective Work Order.
But nowadays based on my observations:
1) I think this no-eating rule is not carried out strictly;
2) Passengers nowadays are more self-disciplined; I seldom see passengers eating/drinking onboard buses;
However I have a question:
Some bus journeys here are very long one. So when the passengers travelling on such routes feel thirsty, can they drink plain water to relieve thirst, or cannot? -

Plain water should be ok. Soft drinks not encouraged. I have seen BC kind enough to let them bring drinks and food up BUT BC will tell them to bring the wrappers/can/container etc down.

Last time one Sv59 BC let 2 indian kids bring COCA COLA from Mcdonalds up the bus, he pretend he din't see, then the two kids left the drinks on the bus. Drinks should be allowed except for soft/fizzy drinks. Foodwise finger food should be ok, but no char kway teow or other easily bus dirtying food. -
if water , n mayb those in cups ( u sure wont spill) shld b allowed..

my friend bring hamburger and a cup of big glup and wanted to only drink and eat after he alighted but den the bc force him to get out of the bus.

Big gulp maybe the BC scared he spill the big gulp in the bus but hamburger should be ok to be brought onto the bus. bottled soft drinks are allowed most of the time.
in any case, no littering is allowed. -

can smell curry especially near the tekka area! lol. Slurpee leh? slurpee not liquid excep when it is melted. and Is BC allowed to forbid the passengers from entering the bus just because he brought along food? mk3 got lots of ppl eating at the back, the BC cannot see.............

maybe be flexible sumtimes...coz i rarely c the floor dirty coz of food and drinks...once in a while a spilled drinks...oh well...poor BC...
but den...plain water if DUN allow den im NOT going to take bus anymore...
i sumtimes oso brink bubble tea up onto buses and i make it a point tat i put it in a plastic bag and be careful not to spill and to bring down the bottle wif the plastic bag down wif me and THROW INTO THE DUSTBIN AT THE BUS STOP...AND NOT INTO THE TICKET BIN...OBVIOUSLY...the ticket bin is so small tat u are going to stick sum cup there!?...food normally i dun encourage but if really hunry den make sure u dun dirty the floor...eat sumthing like a burger or curry puff...but not packet duck rice or chicken rice...the rice confirm spill out de...noddle soup even worst...
this is more of a self-discipline problem... -
