Those 97 LO buses which cross over to 99 are really cannot make it. They have those Pss.. Pss.. sound and the engine is really very loud. For the only thing that are gd about them are the BC like to Sped. They drove veri fast..
By the way...
SBS 2762Y with the Standard Chartered ads was not used for the IMF shuttle. It is back on service 99, I guess it is because of the scratching sound from the wheel. -

erm is the sound produced during acceleration or decceleration. ib acceleration, y ar? Sorry, say wrongly. 255's timetable hasn't been changed. Only 179 and 242. 242 is now on Weekday 34 (from weekday 33). 179 I haven't checked but it defintely has changed. 2 buses' timeslots seems to have disappeared. Today, I took 9606U on 179 for joyride... It was really really sluggish. When we stopped at the bus stop at the steep hill after the library. The bus had problems moving off! The bus which overtaked us (9607S) also had problems accelerating from a stop.
It was a full load and the bus couldn't even change to 2nd gear! The LOs usually can change to 2nd gear and hold it for a while before the BC downshifts it back.
In the end, our BC arrived at BNL 7min late and had to depart (late) for the next round straight away.
Then after that, I took 9162H (on the BCs final round) home! WOO!!! No disappointment! Non-stop flooring of accelerator. Overtook some trucks along Pioneer Road Nth and Jurong West St 63.
Our BC started from rest at the stop outside City Harvest Church. Floored the accelerator and managed to attain full speed before braking sharply just before the turn into NTU!
He could have set the new BNL - NTU record if not for traffic lights. The BNL to NTU record is still 6min! -
