Service 173 amendment

With effect from 16 July 2006, Service 173 will be amended to use Bukit Batok Ave 1, East Ave 6 and Hume Ave. It will no longer serve 3 pairs of bus stops along Hillview Rd and Upp Bt Timah Rd.

The problem with the amendment is, it gets rather confusing when it comes to the part from Jln Batu Niam (sic) to Hume Ave. I wonder if it is possible to convert the junction of Jln Batu Nilam/Hillview Rd/Hume Ave to become a cross junction.
Maybe the Hume Ave express is rendered redundant soon :p -

Its about time that this change takes place.
SMRT seems to be trying to do loads of changes already...
so thats a good thing....
cool, another bus to BB swimmin complex apart from 189..and old 989
oh ya, it is not possible to convert the junction of Jln Batu Nilam/Hillview Rd/Hume Ave to become a cross junction...the distance is a tad too far to become a cross junction...
and the junction at Hillview Rd and Elizabeth Dr is too small to turn in to... that is why 173 has to make a U-turn via the roundabout...

Looks like the frequency will get worse due to using roundabout at Hillview?
Maybe the Toh Tuck part of the route can be amended too.
Good initiative by SMRT too, so far introduced 902, 922, Teacher's Estate and amended Sv173/700. -

SMRT Bus must do something about this long waiting time during peak hours. I sometimes wait for 15 mins during evening peak hrs.

Suay is like 190, even come bendy bus, the most I believe is like only 100 out of 132 passengers onboard... Why??
