Free or not free, isn't the caseOriginally posted by samtlk:NEL not free

You wouldn't... But those Aunties & Uncles going to Chinatown and those foreign workers going to Little India would... Haha!Originally posted by sbst275:Free or not free, isn't the case
Why would I want to get out, wait in a hot afternoon at Dhoby Ghaut for 15 mins just for the free bus? Maybe by the time I board, NEL train would have reached Chinatown already
Unless I take direct bus to Chinatown diff case
Hmm, i agree with u that NEL train will reach chinatown even before the bus reach or arrive, but there are those who board at either dhoby ghaut and want to get off at halfway, e.g bus stop o/s Shell house. Personally if i want to go selegie center or simlim from either dhoby ghaut or little india, this shuttle gives u direct access to selegie center/sim lim w/o needing to walk under hot sun.Originally posted by sbst275:Free or not free, isn't the case

Even so, at UE Square there's already Sv 64, 123, 139, 143 to either Dhoby Ghaut or Somerset..Originally posted by XiaoTaro:Hmm, i agree with u that NEL train will reach chinatown even before the bus reach or arrive, but there are those who board at either dhoby ghaut and want to get off at halfway, e.g bus stop o/s Shell house. Treat it as a complimentary service by SMRT for using their train services.
yes i agree . SMRT is doing all the crappy things just to agitate SBST . SMRT nothing better to do but to disturb others . cheapo company .Originally posted by sbs1688k:You wouldn't... But those Aunties & Uncles going to Chinatown and those foreign workers going to Little India would... Haha!
This is basically a counterattack to SBST NEL... SMRT wants to share the profits SBST reaps from the Chinatown and Little India direct MRT service...
I don't think this will last for long anyway... With insufficient bus fleet... these PA Lances may end up get re-reged as TIB plates and furthermore, insufficient drivers to cope with as well... Silly bunch of people at SMRT...
Recent silly acts of theirs includes 590, SMRT Link 1, 2, 3... As for 900A and 902, they sure know how to reap the profits riding on the opening of large scale education institute in woodlands... 902 are reaping profits with full occupancy on almost every trip...
From CCK/ BPJ might as well take 190 straight...Originally posted by SBS9889U:SMRT Link want to gop all SBST's business in Chinatown, 2 shuttle from Outram Park and Dhoby Ghaut. The Outram Park one would not really affect SBS Transit coz very very short distance but with the Dhoby Ghaut Shuttle, SBST 124/174 will suffer a bit and even their own SMRT 190 will suffer![]()
