u caused quite a huge din
Oh so that's why, thanks!Originally posted by service_238:let me explain on how a bus from one depot bus can cameo on a timeslot that belongs to another bus from another depot. This applies to dual depot controlled services.
As you know buses are prone to breakdowns, accidents, traffic jams and what have you. In any event of any of the above happens, drivers in the service are instructed by the Operations Control Centre (OCC) or the timekeeper at the bus int/terminal to 'cut time'. it is basically cutting your break time (NOT meal breaks where its mandatory) and not the running time.
say for example:
Service 143 controlled by brbp and slbp.
Order as follows-
brbp, brbp, slbp, brbp, slbp, slbp
Breakdown occured on the 1st slbp in the order.
Revised order would be-
brbp, brbp, brbp, slbp, slbp
so far so good?
let's say at Jurong East the departure times in the first order are:
1400 1411 1421 1432 1445 1458
Due to the absence of the slbp bus which was supposed to depart at 1421, the buses behind and possibly (if notified early) the bus in front will have their departure times adjusted.
Revised in the second order as follows:
1400 1414 1428 1442 1456
OR
1400 1411 1426 1443 1458
OR
any other combination as long as frequency is maintained or remain constant
If departure time for the last bus in the order is 1456, the bus after that might suffer 1/2 min in cut time. If its 1458, schedule returns to normal.
so now you know how a bus from one depot bus can cameo on a timeslot that belongs to another bus from another depot?
lemon1974, can we just stop this matter? How would you feel if you are being blamed?Originally posted by lemon1974:click to see who edit it. Edit alrd, but still does not dare to admit..

Upcoming service 5 bus?Originally posted by SBS2671B:SBS2645C : ARBP 132ARBP SP ??
Maybe? That would be good. I cant wait to see it. I cant wait to see BNDEP 5 buses. I hope not Scania. Hopefully DMs, DM3500. If its ARBP 5 . then Striders. The I wanna see is MK3 JB on 5. How weird ! By the way, did 5 have MK3s when it was Bt Panjang - GL Lor 1 when under SBS ?Originally posted by off_service:Upcoming service 5 bus?![]()
175 won't be having Merz becos BBDEP/HG doesn't have them. Anyway 175 only got Merz last time since its under JRBP that time. Same goes for 172 and 188.Originally posted by SBS2671B:Maybe? I can imagine seing HGDEP 175 ! All the MK2 on 175. How unusual. If its BBDEP 175, i suppose that it would be MK3 JB or Striders. Did 175 have MK2/3 when it was LCK - Upp Bt Timah (Loop) Or Merz ? I have taken an NAC Merz before from CCK int and i used to have tix
Sv 5 will look exactly like a brother to Sv 16, majority MK3 if that really happens. Thats no fun. More like Scania gonna strike 5 instead. The 5 desto will look weird on a Scania OAC. BNDEP does have alot of Spares Scania. Or maybe SBS1725 and SBS1727G would join 5 ? Or even SBS2815D ? Wait and see.Originally posted by Volvo Olympian:175 won't be having Merz becos BBDEP/HG doesn't have them. Anyway 175 only got Merz last time since its under JRBP that time. As for Sv 5 , i think it does use MK3 before during the BP-GL1 days of SBS , not sure
