The TV Mobile installed on the strider buses can be sometimes quite irritating. When the bus is moving, I could barely hear the sound because of the noisy strider engines. But when it stops, I can hear it loud and clear (sometimes very loud). So what's the point of watching when I can't even hear all the parts ?

Plus it lags, and once on a LO3X, lag and freeze all the way to the interchange, I cannot even finish watching the show... -

Freeze is because there is someone on the bus *bao leng * Lame and froze the TV Mobile set. jetabt767400, u know who i saying. But sometimes it freezes, very good. Because the peace and quietness (w/o TV noise with Engine noise ) is great!Originally posted by jetabt767400:Totally agree!

For me as i dun use portable radio in any kinds so i just watch tv mobile..
News and just for laughs is good.. but as nowadays lack of program.. use to show Channel 8 serials in the morning.. do they still show them now?? -
phew long time no take NUH shuttle
now it boasts a nice LCD screen TV mobile showing. it also cna flip up when not in use like some Airbus A330 small Tv set in plane.
note that the NUh shuttle now also got audio next bus stop announcements

Actually, how this LCD get the supply? from the bus battery box? ok, if it is from the battery box, how do the driver shut off the tv? Sometimes, I saw buses with engines and aircon shut down, the tv is still on? How it actually works?

Anyway, I saw brand new TVs on SBS 9670H (Sv 165), quite cool, but I sat on the upper deck but the TV seems like it is off.
I think the TV Mobile is only good for live-telecasting and nothing else. The shows that are played are so lame & silly and I do not bother to even watch.
Especially the Just for Laughs, watch a few times still ok, but when you watch a few times but it is still playing the same thing is like -_-. See until sian arh... -
the battery box keeps running even when engine is off... It is charged as the bus moves if not mistaken... if you observe those buses wif tv mobile , in the driver's cab u see a switch box
with a red light . that is the switch to switch on and off the TV . if the driver hates the sound of the tv , he can switch it off , take a look at it and you will see the switch there .
it has a transparent cover . on it , for 0405 buses it is after the door cock panel .
for strider, Lo3x , Vo3x it is behind the driver's cab seat . -
Diva on a Dime is a stupid show. Always showing when I board the bus. Would rather they broadcast CNA all the way rather than some useless shows like this. I must admit just for laughs and some TV shows are good.
But, how can one NOT get bored when the shows are repeatedly broadcast for over ONE WEEK??? -

I rather they show stuff like what drivers do in their jobs, like the old SMRT video. And operated by SBST, so everything will be bus and NEL related.

OMG... Yeah, I noticed this recently too. For the past whole week, at around 5 - 6pm, it's the same show! Someone wearing a clown suit gets rejected from entering somewhere. I think if they run out of programmes, then they could try to take some variety programmes from channel 5 or 8 then, even the drama serial they air every morning from channel 8
