Guess your right....but i dislike how the video was taken, so shaky. or at least its also dim.Originally posted by XTransbus:obviously it's a mk2.
i've circled the features
see the door?
and
if you look closely, you can see a line running vertically down at the middle of the windscreen which is common in both mk2 DM and ALX.
confirm not mkIII ! MKIIIs have voiths! This one is a ZFed one! Look at the heading, it should say Volvo B10M ZF.Originally posted by SBS 233 X:It's not a MK IV. It's a MK III. Can see from the doors and seat.. SBS876R or SBS877M.
ya, i can even hear the psst psst sound caused by the gearbox's retarder, this is found commonly on ZF gearboxes, as well as the Mercedes gearboxes on SBST 0405s.Originally posted by stooper:If you sit all the way behind on MK2s, you'll hear the ZF gearbox very distinctively, especially the NAC ones. But if you sit near the engine, the engine drowns out the gearbox whine...
On MK4s, it isn't that serious
I got a feeling its a MKII NAC. Somehow....it reminds me of the time when i took it to Johor on S170. (When 170 is NACs)Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:confirm not mkIII ! MKIIIs have voiths! This one is a ZFed one! Look at the heading, it should say Volvo B10M ZF.
Go take SBS876R and SBS877M first and tell me is Voith or ZF.Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:confirm not mkIII ! MKIIIs have voiths! This one is a ZFed one! Look at the heading, it should say Volvo B10M ZF.
A lot of buses have this type of bell.Originally posted by MuLaFlaga:I got a feeling its a MKII NAC. Somehow....it reminds me of the time when i took it to Johor on S170. (When 170 is NACs)
Guys, listen to the sound of the bell. I remembered the sound when i took the above service.
Haha should do a bit of research. 876R and 877M are both ZF. Kind of anomaly.Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:confirm not mkIII ! MKIIIs have voiths! This one is a ZFed one! Look at the heading, it should say Volvo B10M ZF.
Bro.. Itz MK3.. Not MK2 or Mk4.. The Bus in question is actually SBS876R..Originally posted by XTransbus:obviously it's a mk2.

Definitely not. Notice there isn't a centre bus stopping strip running down the ceiling?Originally posted by MuLaFlaga:Guess your right....but i dislike how the video was taken, so shaky. or at least its also dim.
Why not post on youtube and ask the video owner? I am doing it now.

If you're talking about the B7RLE as in the Sentosa ones, no, I don't want them to be running with SBST. Although the interior looks nice, they are starting to rattle a bit. Probably the lousy body... Is it a local body?Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:hi, anyone here would like to see the Volvo B7RLE or the B12BLE running with SBSTransit on SG roads?
Actually some of the B9TLs on 21 rattle a little, especially if you're sitting downstairs, near the rear.Originally posted by stooper:9889U rattles now too. So far, I haven't taken other VSOs that rattle.
I haven't taken B9TLs yet, but I was expecting it... Shows that our local bodies aren't quite up there yet...Originally posted by featurecreep:Actually some of the B9TLs on 21 rattle a little, especially if you're sitting downstairs, near the rear.

scania vibrates more. Just place your head on the window panel for a few seconds and you'll get headaches. VSO not so much except if you sit at the rear 1lvl (near th engine). B9TL not sure.Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:actually it is not the body that rattles alot. think it is caused by poor insulation between the engine and chassis that is supposed to dampen the engine vibration. notice that this happens sometimes on Volvo? there isn't any much complains about mercedes volgren and hispano rattlings, though some of them does rattle.
ya, the scania L113CRL vibrates the worst, shake until my specs start shaking and because of that, i get blur vision. shouldn't expect those things on new buses, but the B7RLE dissappoints me a little.Originally posted by XTransbus:scania vibrates more. 9889U is suffering engine problems, confirmed that with BC. Is currently laid up again, I think bcos the B9s have taken a little load off its shoulders.Originally posted by stooper:If you're talking about the B7RLE as in the Sentosa ones, no, I don't want them to be running with SBST. Merc Volgren rattling can be very serious. One time I took a Merc Volgren cameo on 963, the window like going to drop off.Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:actually it is not the body that rattles alot. think it is caused by poor insulation between the engine and chassis that is supposed to dampen the engine vibration. notice that this happens sometimes on Volvo? there isn't any much complains about mercedes volgren and hispano rattlings, though some of them does rattle.
