Those that use stickers to cover up are mainly the fully painted buses reverted back to their original exteriorsOriginally posted by stooper:It's actually more cheapskate than you think... If you take a look more carefully, they don't even repaint their buses... They just use stickers and cover up the buses. You can see this if they forgot to pry out the Mercedes/Dennis badge from the rear of the bus. So the badges would be bulging out from the stickers. This is more obvious on the Hispano O405 and O405G and Lances.
SBS210L is still in SBS livery. Some MK4 WA CACs from BB/AR also still in SBS livery.Originally posted by stooper:Not all MK4s have been repainted to SBST... Some just have the front repainted (mainly those with ads). The same for merz as well. E.g. 3728R recently just had its front and end repainted but still carries SBSL livery. 3901G does not have full SBST livery too.
Whoops , its MK2 WA CAC , not MK4 WA CACOriginally posted by TIB1018B:SBS210L is still in SBS livery. Some MK4 WA CACs from BB/AR also still in SBS livery.
Hehe, MKIV WA CAC....Originally posted by Volvo Olympian:Whoops , its MK2 WA CAC , not MK4 WA CAC
SBS210L is in fact, same as most of AR/BB mk2.. they have no "SBS" livery. the mk2 doors and windows are also repainted black. SBS3681R and SBS3622L also had no 'SBS' livery prior to being repainted.Originally posted by TIB1018B:SBS210L is still in SBS livery. Some MK4 WA CACs from BB/AR also still in SBS livery.
This request has been brought up since TIBS time and have always been rejected. Another feedback was on the zaobao last week. We can expect similar reply from SMRT.Originally posted by TIB1018B:In fact SMRT should also look into introducing newer bus routes to connect Sembawang to Tampines/Sengkang. If possible should also introduce more express routes to connect from Woodlands/Sembawang/Yishun areas to Changi Villages. Another thing to divert services 858, 965 anf 969 to serve Sembawang areas as well.
ya, weapons of passengers and commuters.Originally posted by Lord_Of_Hayan:Since this is SBS Transit vs SMRT, we should expect to see buses equipped with weapons.![]()
However, I feel that SMRT focuses a lot of train services rather than bus services while SBST focuses more on bus services. Besides, Sembawang is a SMRT dominated area, unless SBST extends svc 39 or 85. In addition, CCK faces a similar problem. There is no SBST svc to CCK interchange. So I feel that in order to attract more commuters to buy season pass, I suggest SBST make some changes to allow its bus services to go to CCK interchange.Originally posted by off_service:This request has been brought up since TIBS time and have always been rejected. Yup! Can say so! The condition of the buses of SMRT are like shit, whereas the trains are in tip-top condition. Air-con blow like as if electricity is free.Originally posted by tanjun:However, I feel that SMRT focuses a lot of train services rather than bus services while SBST focuses more on bus services. You have to understand that service amendment is one thing, getting the proposal to be accepted is another. If there's no rulings from PTC, you can see SBS and SMRT services all over the place.Originally posted by tanjun:However, I feel that SMRT focuses a lot of train services rather than bus services while SBST focuses more on bus services. If I am not wrong, at times, 859 and 962 can be rather packed with ppl since it provides the access in the areas of sembawang estate which are quite far away from the MRT or the interchange. However, I agree with you for the 167 and 980 point. It is like svc 25 and 55 (from AMK Avenue 3 to Eunos MRT) or it also can be svc 25 and 854 (from HGN ave 2 to Bedok).Originally posted by anti_NISSAN_U31:in fact accessibility in sembawang really screwed up![]()

2 svcs (167 n 980) both duplicating from sembawang all the way to novena mrt
4 short distance svcs (859, 882, 962 n 981) tat dun really profit tat much
i fact i really hope tat sbst/smrt look into consideration n deploy direct svcs from sembawang (my hse) all the way to changi village via yishun![]()
And 85 & 111 might have been merged. Currently, NE corridor has no bus links with Centrepoint.Originally posted by 105090:if HGN is under Tibs, 147 wont be what is is today, it will be amended
Originally posted by choww:i prefer SBST. SBST may look "cheap" coz of their NAC buses , but dont forget , they have new CNG buses and WAB buses. Their buses were bought and launched newly. Not like SMRT , nowadays tey use those rebranded Nissans cant they buy more new buses , if they like Nissan Buses , ten go & buy the newest Nissans. SBST dont have any/use rebranded buses.
Hi..Which bus company do your prefer?..
Hmm , why not use less express sector , so that there is a demand for this particular service , if use too much express sector , then i don't tink the demand will be quite good.Originally posted by swee_heng:even now there are SBST services dominated in SMRT services like Yishun's 39 & 85 , Woodland's 161 & 168 , i hope that i can see a SBST service in CCK interchange , maybe from CCK to either Hougang , Sengkang or Punggol , it wil be the best to introduce a service like 161 & 168 which takes long express , hope that SBST introduce a service from CCK to Pasir Ris via Bt Panjang , BKE and if possible serve W'lands before going to SLE to Pasir Ris.
Quite a good idea , suggest that this new service from CCK to Pasir Ris will serve CCK WAY , Bt Panjang Plaza , then Petir Rd then follow 960 / 963's route aft Bt Panjang Plaza then head for BKE then W'lands Ave 3 & 2 then SLE , Jln Kayu then go to Pasir Ris via Downtown east. tis will serve convienience to residents in Bt PanjangOriginally posted by Volvo Olympian:Hmm , why not use less express sector , so that there is a demand for this particular service , if use too much express sector , then i don't tink the demand will be quite good.

Good idea, BUT there is one of PTC's rules:Originally posted by swee_heng:then lets write to SBST together. longing to see a SBST at BKE
