Anyway, I saw a Mercedes-Benz O405 repainted and very shinning!!!! Looks almost like a new one!
Service 133 if I am not wrong, never take note of the plate number. -

Hey, guys, can we stop targetting the CAC/OAC Nissans? I browsed through the archives the last 2 days @ my bedroom
. Whenever i see this co. vs that co., Nissans are always prime target.
When asked what buses are the lousiest, CAC/OAC Nissans again. If you really hate the nissans, voice it to SMRT directly. Its kinda funny if you put it here.
I doubt SMRT CEO and co. wont really look into it from here.

Just want to add on another thing about SBST vs SMRT regarding its bus routes:-
I find that SBST connects the bus routes very well especially from North/Northeast areas like Woodlands/Yishun/Sengkang/Punggol areas towards the far east areas like Pasir Ris/Changi Airport/Changi Village areas via TPE. For example services 27, 34, 39, 59, 89, 109, 161 and 168.
Whereas SMRT areas like Sembawang only have buses connecting to city and nearby areas like Yishun/Woodlands.
In fact SMRT should also look into introducing newer bus routes to connect Sembawang to Tampines/Sengkang. If possible should also introduce more express routes to connect from Woodlands/Sembawang/Yishun areas to Changi Villages. Another thing to divert services 858, 965 anf 969 to serve Sembawang areas as well . -
SBS210L is in fact, same as most of AR/BB mk2.. they have no "SBS" livery. the mk2 doors and windows are also repainted black. interestingly, some mk2 WA CAC on bukit merah feeders still have the 'SBS' logo intact.
SBS1734K (DM) is the only unrepainted DM -
This request has been brought up since TIBS time and have always been rejected. Another feedback was on the zaobao last week. However, I feel that SMRT focuses a lot of train services rather than bus services while SBST focuses more on bus services. Besides, Sembawang is a SMRT dominated area, unless SBST extends svc 39 or 85. In addition, CCK faces a similar problem. There is no SBST svc to CCK interchange. 2 svcs (167 n 980) both duplicating from sembawang all the way to novena mrt 4 short distance svcs (859, 882, 962 n 981) tat dun really profit tat much
i fact i really hope tat sbst/smrt look into consideration n deploy direct svcs from sembawang (my hse) all the way to changi village via yishun -
Yup! Can say so! The condition of the buses of SMRT are like shit, whereas the trains are in tip-top condition. I couldn't even find a vandalism, not even a scratch! The reason why SMRT concentrate more on train services is simple, there are more ridership on trains than on buses, so concentrating more on train services is more profitable. I somehow think that all train services like the NEL , CCL and future MRT lines should be awarded to SMRT whereas SBSTransit should control all bus services, of course i hope SBSTransit will buy bendy buses and DDs in equal numbers. -
You have to understand that service amendment is one thing, getting the proposal to be accepted is another. There were instances in which proposals were rejected due to the "infringement" of PTC ruling as well as objection from rival company. -
If I am not wrong, at times, 859 and 962 can be rather packed with ppl since it provides the access in the areas of sembawang estate which are quite far away from the MRT or the interchange. However, I agree with you for the 167 and 980 point. 2nd: SBST has better freq compared to SMRT , i took 161 before and it is always on time other svcs oso. So far , those SBST buses which i took is punctual , not like SMRT's erratic svcs like 187 , 188 , 307 wich as lousy freq. -
even now there are SBST services dominated in SMRT services like Yishun's 39 & 85 , Woodland's 161 & 168 , i hope that i can see a SBST service in CCK interchange , maybe from CCK to either Hougang , Sengkang or Punggol , it wil be the best to introduce a service like 161 & 168 which takes long express , hope that SBST introduce a service from CCK to Pasir Ris via Bt Panjang , BKE and if possible serve W'lands before going to SLE to Pasir Ris.

Services that intend to serve into rival co's territory need to fulfil 2 criteria:
1. Serve 2 of their own territories first. (E.g. SBST svc service Bedok and Tampines first.)
2. Take the MOST DIRECT ROUTE into the rival co's territory. (969, that one super-direct.)
Case studies for you: 39, 161, 168, 858, 965, 969.
Exceptions: 854, NW-NE swap svcs that turned SMRT, 966. -
